  1. I have a "flea" - great little light for my racer.
  2. If you cannot find a replacement give the old one to an electronics guru. Power supplies are not that hard to decode. The flashing lights in the light that indicate charging/full, suggest that it's a dumb charger - the brain may be in the light?
  3. What kind of charger is it? If it's a simple transformer charger then you may be able to substitite. If it's a "smart" charger that gives constant voltage/current then you may have a problem. But even so you can get these.
  4. You can name the LBS if you stick to the facts - price quoted, their responses etc. Dont embelish it with any opinion though.
  5. Hey Anfielder - have you decided to sell your Holdsworth yet?
  6. Ja. And the back pedal brakes are always a big hit - they love leaving lekker black stripes all over the place
  7. My cent. I have varied in weight between 100 and 93kg's over 20 years on a bike. Only use wheels like JB is referring to. Only had a problem once - an old Mavic G40 developed a bit of a wobble that I did not fix and it went pear on me one morning. Had I paid attention it would not have happened.
  8. Ja - and I kept moaning at little Dan cause he was going slower and slower up the slightest little hill....
  9. Glad to hear that you got it sorted! That's why I never throw anything away - drives my wife nuts!
  10. Have you felt how HEAVY these little bikes are?? My son (4) is wasted after 2k's on his little bike
  11. Ha ha - send me the new wheels and I will send you some that will carry 200kgs. Clue - steel
  12. OOps - it is the jockey pin? Ask the hubbers if they have a spare lying around. They screw in. Big S sells these too.
  13. Did not look at the pics, but I can say (without too much fear of contradiction) that they are hard to fix. Jockey wheel pins you can get. Other pins too - but not from big S.
  14. Well done Tarboy! Looks like a million bucks already!
  15. Big H - Yes most certainly it's a rumor. I could have faked that exact mail in 2 minutes - with your name as the sender. Email is rubbish - its plain text. Ok - so then the oke says he did it. But what if he is talking BS. Too late - the mob is on the way.
  16. I have two road bikes that use biopace chainrings and I dont have a problem with it at all. I find them to be smooth and comfortable. Sheldon Brown also liked them - his article explains how much graft Shimano put into developing them. I must add that I am a "for fun cyclist" and would not suggest that they are going to give you and edge in racing. I like them
  17. Ah - sorry spotted - TT bike. So it's Biopace making a comeback?
  18. Oval chainrings? Is this Biopace for MTB's?
  19. That's kinda my point Tarboy. The "victims" are in fact a rumour at this time. They are not real until they raise there hands and give their story. So it's no different from the "rumor" started about a Pakistani shopkeeper that results in a mob burning his shop down?
  20. Sad little thread. I was just thinking how easy it is to launch a "lynch mob". Without too much direct provocation and snippets of second or third hand information the true mob is born. Ready to (they say) do just about anything. Scary stuff. It also reminds me of this new "shoot to kill" approach from the cops. Everybody thinks this is great - the baddies get what they deserve, until things get out of hand - as they always seem to in SA and innocent people start getting wacked "by mistake" Stop and think about it!
  21. You okes need therapy. Even the cousins on the ER are not this stressed
  22. Hey GT - nice old bike. Serious top tube - could run a gantry crane across it!
  23. Ha Ha - you mountain goats are funny Slicks, high pressure, bigger wheels, taller gearing - sounds like a racing bike to me? Seriously though - MTBs are more versatile. You cannot ride a racer in the bush. And they are great to train with on the road - you k@k off so badly and when you get back on your racer it feels like someone has fitted an engine to it
  24. Agreed KK. Very overpriced, but we dont really have a choice. Kids helmets worry me - how good are they? They always seem to be much cheaper?

    Lost Wheel

Wow - maybe the oke will notice that it's gone when he stops??
