  1. Most Rockstar guitarists has some understanding of theory. Steve Vai and Randy Rhodes are brilliant composers. Then you get guys like Li from Drangonforce that knows no theory but can play a guitar like no one else.
  2. Be honest, who created the us and them situation? (Wasn't Pink Floyd) How many pro vegan memes trying to take a swipe at meat eaters do you see in the media?
  3. Its not challenging. A challenge is to quit smoking. Including meat in my diet is a conscious well thought out decision. I eat healthier than most vegans. Just because I eat meat doesn't mean I stuff my face with t bones and ribs every night. I eat red meat maybe once a month. I even eat vegan dishes on a regular basis. But I have absolutely no guilt in eating healthy meat dishes.
  4. We also kick all dogs and throw cats with darts.
  5. I spent some time in a clients abbatoir once. Its nasty right, all bloody and smelly. But did it put me off from eating a healthy balanced diet? Nope. My point is that all this propaganda of dogs on the barbecue and nasty slaughter houses will have a very small impact on peoples mindsets. It's just silly. Going vegan should be a personal choice. What other people eat is surely their choice. Surely you don't score extra vegan points if you convert a meat eater? Hope not.
  6. Really? Isn't that what humans have been doing for thousands and thousands of years? I grew up on a farm, I slaughtered and ate many sheep, I cleaned and ate fish all my life. I really don't get it why vegans think this should change mindsets.
  7. The 235s battery life concerns me. On the Suunto I get 12h easy in GPS mode. Looking at something similar. For Comrades battery life is probably the b most important feature in a watch.
  8. I need some suggestions on a new running watch. I'm currently using the Suunto Ambit3. It's a great watch, but I'm looking for something with integrated heart rate. Not interested in a Fenix, I prefer not to run with a brick on my arm. Currently looking at the Suunto, Spartan and Polar Vantage M. Any other options?
  9. I probably won't ever run in anything else than Nike again. After spending a small fortune trying a heap of other expensive shoes.
  10. It's 11 years later. I don't think he is interested anymore.
  11. The trick with Barre chords is not to press down hard, but to get equal pressure along your barring finger. If you start applying to much pressure your hand will cramp up like crazy after a few minutes.
  12. I'm 71kg and 1.87m. For the past 18 years I've weighed exactly the same.
  13. I never get vegan propoganda like this. Is it supposed to make meat eaters feel bad? Change their minds?
  14. That's what we call a healthy balanced diet. Nothing new.
  15. I need to play more, but its a fun hobby.
  16. Meanwhile Gerda is running 3.23/km tempo runs. Comrades is going to be an epic battle between her, Camille and Ann. Camille winning of course.
  17. Fixed.
  18. Why on earth would anyone punish themselves like this.
  19. Zoom fly, not Vapor. There is thread on Lets run about it. The guy used duct tape to keep the shoe together and patch holes. But he ran 3500km.
  20. There is a pic of a pair of Vapor Flys on Instagram that did 3500km. They are absolutely ruined though. From what Ive read on other forums is that you can expect 500km from Flys and less from the Vapors, with exceptions. The Flys doesn't have the carbon plate, only a nylon plate, and the Vapors doesn't have fly wire. Im a heel/midfoot striker. But at faster pace with Zoom Fly I dont land on my heel. At slower pace they ran really well will some heel impact. The heel and midfoot cushioning are out of this world, but the forefoot not so much. You definitely notice the plate.
  21. Ever ordered from nike.com? Is the stock dispatched locally?
  22. Where is the Zoom Fly available for 2k? I agree, these shoes are just amazing. I go easily 15 to 20s a km faster at the same perceived effort. And they are way more comfortable than Hoka????
  23. I got my Parkrun times down from 29 minutes to 21. To go under 20 I will have to follow a dedicated program. Not my idea of fun. Long runs are easier.
  24. Someone told me you are only considered a runner if you can do 5km under 20 minutes. Ive been trying for 3 years, not a runner yet.????
