  1. Flirt and squirt
  2. They have some models with dynamic stability, their spin on anti pronation. But like I said earlier, try the Clifton, even though its neutral it definitely has a lot of arch support wich will reduce pronation. Your foot sits quite deep in the shoe, so you don’t actually notice that slab of foam.
  3. Im size 11. So I look like a really skinny clown.
  4. So these arrived yesterday, Clifton4s. I went trough a few months of roller coasting decision making before buying them. Getting my hands on a demo pair for a few minutes swayed my mind. They feel like nothing Ive experienced before. They have way more support than any of my other neutral shoes, one of the main reasons I got them. Sizing is definitely not standard, I got half a size bigger and it is still more snug than any of my other shoes. They have a similar feel and sizing to the Salomon S Lab range. I expected it to be lighter, but they are still somewhat lighter than my Nike Vomeros, even though its a bigger size. Will give them a quick run tomorrow morning.
  5. The lock jaw story is nothing but bs. It’s actually a very placid breed. They scored better than Golden retrievers on the temperament scale. This one is a real baby and great with my kids.
  6. Ive come to accept that silly pains and running goes hand in hand.
  7. Or a tent. My biggest issue with this is that I dont want my kids exposed to it. I even told my wife not to take them with when she visits. All she does the whole time is to talk about what a bad person her ex to be husband is, and what crappy beings men in general are.
  8. But would your wife agree? I sure as hell dont want my wife’s friend and her issues in my house.
  9. My wife’s best friend is going trough a divorce at the moment. She actually asked if she can move in with us for a few weeks and my wife straight up told her no. Best friend or not, no one needs to deal with that kind of baggage.
  10. I have what feels like bursitis, but if I do some digging in my hip I can feel that its my it band. If I press on the right spot it refers right down to the knee. Like you said, some itb stretches and foam rolling works wonders. Lunges and bridges to strengthen that whole area also helps.
  11. My boy Ozzy, also a lazy house dog. But very alert, I won’t want to get on the wrong end of him.
  12. She obviously knows/thinks that you still care, and therefore you will help her out. Time to set her straight and tell her you don’t feel anything anymore. It seems that its way past rescuing, so trying to be the nice guy is only making you look weak in her eyes.
  13. Its not my toes, the upper is fine. Its on the soles, right on the tip. The shoe shop said it’s because of an aggressive toe off. Apparently I drive from my toes. But I’ll try sole saver, its very small spots that wears off, maybe the size of a 10c.
  14. It definitely depends on running style, I weigh next to nothing, but I will never get a 1000km out of a pair. I trash the toes of my soles in no time. A pair of NB980 lasted me 200km. I have a few Nikes in rotation at the moment, they will definitely last longer, but I doubt if any of them will see 600/700km.
  15. Did my first half marathon for the year, started relatively slow, not by choice, my legs just didn’t want to turnover. I think that Comrades training is making my legs lazy????. From about 8km it got better and I could maintain close to sub 5/min km and ran an easy negative split to finish in 1h45, a 3min PB. For me that is quite quick, and good to know that the training is paying off.
  16. Some insane mileage this week. I didn’t even get close to a top 10. That said I had a look at the Comrades international Strava group, wtf are those guys on.
  17. 250km for the year, but Ive been super demotivated this week. Sick kids etc. Doing a HM tomorrow, hopefully Ive got some speed left after a lot of slow runs!
  18. I joined a club because ASA said I have to. Running alone is good for the soul. I did some 3hour long runs in the early hours of the morning, no people, no cars ,nothing. Bliss.
  19. Since the fix my uploads are lighting fast.
  20. I never hesitate while running..????
  21. I hate it. I ran with a bus during my first marathon, they had a run walk strategy after the first half. I just felt like dying every time I had to start running again, as if everything just stopped working.
  22. Everyone that’s spewing now obviously got on the wagon too late. If you bought this time last year your ROI is still incredible. Also if you bought yesterday morning at 10h00 you would be up by 55% this morning. Definitely a risk, but still fun.
  23. Since? Did you do the updates? Mine is 100%
  24. I manage to run more miles with 2 days of rest a week than I did with only 1 rest day. The benefits of running on tired legs are overrated ????
