  1. Ive watched The good doctor, at my wife’s request. And recently Baits Motel. Freddie Highmore is such a great actor. His roles in both are just brilliant.

    Hobbies

I collect vinyl. I also wear check shirt, thick rim glasses and drink designer coffee. Guess that makes me a 35yo hipster.
  3. I played a game of squash yesterday, first time in probably a year. My glutes and quads are so sore it’s unbelievable, definitely a great workout.
  4. Thats going to be an extra 10 min for the 12hour runners. No more pit stops.????
  5. Location of pain is pretty to close to what might be itb. If it is then nothing but proper strengthening exercises will work. Glutes etc. Get to a physio for a proper diagnosis.
  6. During my ungodly early runs in December I downed some really strong black coffee just before a run, just to wake up. This caused some really mild reflux, but those small Gaviscon tablets helped.
  7. I tried on a pair, and the drop is immediately noticeable. Definitely wont try them now and risk injury.
  8. The reason Im asking is because of the drop, and I have it at 5mm?
  9. Same here, smoothies can be game changers for your health. Took me a while to get used to the veggy ones, but its my favorite now. And since I started with healthy smoothies I dont crave any sugar whatsoever.
  10. Exactly. Sneaky Sunday runs are against the rules.
  11. That puts me out of the top 10. Im appealing.
  12. I’ll start thinking about the next one, as soon as I can walk again..????????
  13. What would a D time be? I looked at the seeding batches, but its a little confusing.
  14. So after a terrible taper week and a 2am wake up this morning my first marathon is done and dusted. My initial plan was a 4h15, but I got persuaded to join the 4h20 bus. Because my furthest run before today was only 30km, I think it was a wise decision. The initial easy pace saved my legs, and I managed to leave them at 32km and run equal splits for a 4h14. During December I was worried that my training is not on track, but Im happy after today. So Comrades qualifying is done and the real miles can start.
  15. Comrades qualifier. Its an out of town race, so a 2am wake up. And it looks like the heat will be crazy. Should be fun????
  16. The ones that kept me out for extended periods..Runners knee, itb and stress fracture due to shin splints,
  17. It took me almost 2 years to get to a point where running became more comfortable and enjoyable. Before that I had injury after injury, mostly due to doing too much too quickly.
  18. Is it normal to feel like crap during the last few days of tapering? Everything is stiff, legs feel like lead..???? Maybe is just stress..
  19. While on the subject, until when is 2017 ASA licenses still valid?
  20. If you can remember the final km you didn’t do your best.
  21. I also supinate a little, like Pulse said shock absorbtion is an issue, otherwise you will get injured. Shorten your stride and up the cadence. This will decrease intial impact.
  22. With patience. Trust me, dont do anything funny now, just keep running within your limits and everything will fall in place. If you push your pace now you will get injured. After just a few months your body is not ready yet.
  23. I tested my Ambit3 up to 10hours, over a few days. So in a single run it should go 12hours plus easy on the fastest gps setting.
