  1. A sub 3 Argus and a world champion claiming to have run a sub 14 is just a tiny wee bit different.
  2. Why would another athlete feel the need to ask RD if his watch is broken? Just silly. If the stats are proper they will have a go at the drafting, elevation etc. I think its a hard pill to swallow when you realise a triathlete is faster than SA track stars.
  3. RM ran a 5km run split in 14:12 before. Thats some serious running on tired legs. Cant see why he cant go sub 14. As for PBs. 5k is 5k. If I can run a PB down a mineshaft its going on Strava????
  4. A “Well done, would love to see some stats” would have been an appropriate response. But calling it BS because according to you a triathlete in lockdown is not capable of such times is just uncalled for.
  5. Richard can run a sub 30 10k after a bike leg, he is a seriously good runner. It was sad to see him taking some heat from local runners and so called experts on Twitter yesterday.
  6. Yesterday’s easy long run became an unplanned marathon. Really bummed about Comrades, but will continue ticking over. So far 4peaks and Skyrun is still going ahead.
  7. Im not a fan of 1080s. They are heavy and incredibly stiff. The Zoomfly is also stiff but the cushioning is so good that you dont get any discomfort or hotspots.
  8. I get a good 600/700km out of Zoom Flys, so I do use them for certain training runs. But currently my go to trainers are Pegasus 35 and Epic React. Would probably get the Pegasus 36 as soon as mine needs replacing, but the Pegasus range just seems to last forever. Im also really impressed with the Nike React range. Lighter than the Zoom Fly, but without the carbon plate. Such an easy flowing shoe.
  9. I dont see how 2021 entries will be a problem. We probably wont see a rush at pre entries like we did this year. Runners will be very reluctant to enter if the running calendar isnt back on track by then.
  10. It will be the most expensive t shirt I own. I will use it until my nipples chafe holes in it.
  11. The Strava police are something else. I start running just before 5 on the treadmill and at 6 I go run outside, all logged as one run. Wasn't long before I had to explain myself.
  12. Did you read the comments on that one? Apparently he has a permit and he commutes to clients. Creative much?
  13. Killing off this Monday. One of those days where you just plug in dial to ten and play along some no frills songs.
  14. He marks his rides as commutes. All good then.
  15. Watched it yesterday again. Just brilliant, it keeps you watching even if you saw it 10 times.
  16. Sure it was Jason and Michelle. Big H had a trolling account, Barbie something. Got quite a few hubbers red under the collar.
  17. Jason and Michelle. Uber Lance fanboys.
  18. There was this one discussion where a very well known doper was called a doper. A bunch of us received lawyers letters and very angry phone calls. The early days were like the wild west.
  19. This might explain some of the outbursts we've seen on this thread. https://www.psypost.org/2020/05/meat-eaters-tend-to-have-better-psychological-health-than-vegetarians-56698
  20. A lot of politics on the hub from about 2007 to 2009. About the same time the failed crossing the floor to Cyclenation happened. There was a failed coup as well. If I remember correctly we still voted for moderators back then.
  21. Holy Roller/Tumbleweed 160
  22. 734 Since 2006
  23. On the flip side we have Morgan Freeman. I would watch 24 hours of infomercials if he was involved.
  24. Really guys, I didn’t actually phone the police. I feel stupid for having to say this.
