  1. The Garmin device need to have "ANT+ Trainer Control (FE-C)" to control the trainer. If has this functionality, you can create your workouts in Garmin Connect, upload to your Garmin device, and do the workout.
  2. Been discussed on some Cycling WhatsApp groups as well. "Work around" is to do dual recording ... Vitality will sync the recording that is saved from the Garmin device.
  3. From experience due to the industry I'm in ... Batteries need to be shipped in a separate case to the bike. Battery case to be non-conductive and hold one battery only. Battery charge level must be well below 35%. If it's a Li-Ion battery, it will not be allowed on a plane, sea freight only. Lead-Acid batteries can go on a plane and must be accompanied by documentation from the battery manufacturer indicating that the battery is cleared for air freight / transport.
  4. On the topic of substitution... What is the procedure to follow when substituting "in person" at the Expo? Do both the Original Entry Holder and Substitute Rider need to be there, or can the Substitute Rider collect the original entry and then proceed to the counter to do the substitution? Their site / rules are not clear as to what steps need to be taken.

  17. If someone want to get rid of their 947 entry, or know of someone that want to get rid of their entry, my coach has decided he wants to do 947 as a training ride for himself. 😂 Please send me a PM so that I can then put the ppl in touch with each other.
  18. Let's hope FT does not mess it up like they did with the last 947 ... If I recall correctly they used the scanners intended for running races, and those scanners could apparently not cope with the speed and/or amount of scans it had to do in a set time ...
  19. 100% However sometimes the "gaps" in the w/kg partners are to big. Some days there's a bunch at around 1.8 with the next level being at 2.8... No groups inbetween.
  20. Same as Frosty. For my Z2 rides, I select an Pace Partner that is riding at a pace that is suitable. However, there are times when they are either to "slow" or to fast for Z2 ...
  21. There are a couple of bicycle tour operators in Lesotho. Consider contacting them regarding safety, suggested routes etc. I believe the people at Afriski is also helpfull. I have read, and heard firsthand from people that hiked and camped in Lesotho about being attacked at night. If you do plan to do the self supported camping thing, a good suggestion is to have a chat with the local village chiefs of the area where you plan to camp and to get their "blessing" to pitch your tent.
  22. What Rudolph said ... The only "mass event" where TT bike / frame is of benefit WITH drafting in Zwift, is in the WTRL TTT races, to my knowledge no drafting effect for all other rides in Zwift with the TT frame.

I read in an article somewhere (last month or so), that intake of protein prior to exercise / racing is not recommended as the ammonia levels in the blood will increase as a result, leading to decreased muscle function; making the legs feel heavy etc. Best to take it afterwards. I stand to be corrected on what my memory is sharing with me 🤪
  24. I suspect it has to do with the additional expenditure to fix the potholes and the subsequent available funds for prize money ...
