  1. Thanks, I do love her. Even managed to sneak a stealth routing for the dropper through the bottle cage mount
  2. Thanks for the tip but I have come right with a frame
  3. How did I not even know about this ? I would pay the R50 entrance just to hit that wall ride a few times
  4. If you are on any sort of a budget I would recommend the 1 x 10 conversion. If your current cassette is an 11-36t all you need is an expander, I went with a 42t, and to remove the 15t and 17t and replace with a 16t to even the gear changes as well as a narrow wide up front, I went with an oval 32t. If you running 3 x 10 now your derailleur should be a long cage so it will work with this set up. Even if your derailleur does not have a clutch, I have heard plenty of testimony that if your running a decent narrow wide with the correct length chain you should not suffer from chain drops. I stand under correction but the likes of the SLX 11 speed cassette also runs 11-42t so your granny and top speed will remain the same as the 1 x 10 setup above. I would give Evobikes a call and speak to them about the options. Naas and Janos have been top guys whenever I have dealt with them and are very knowledgeable. They even have narrow wide rings available for you to test at the moment
  5. Thanks to those that offered help and advice. Got the axis frame for R750 and built her up today. She is not the fanciest but stoked I can ride again !
  6. Had a look, frames are good prices but once again the shipping is $170.88 which kinda kills it for me
  7. Was a 2010 KTM Score that I got 2nd hand for cheap. Should have known, lasted me pretty much exactly 1 year
  8. Thanks for the link ! Checking it out now
  9. Haven't heard of them. Thanks, will check them out
  10. That's unlucky, thank you very much though. Really appreciate the offer
  11. Thanks Myles, that is super awesome of you. I am 186cm and normally ride a large. Is it a big medium?
  12. Because of the location of the crack the only option was to put a rivet through it as the carbon forms a sleeve around the alu linkage
  13. The stay is carbon but it cracked where the carbon joins the alu linkage for the bearing. Will try post a pi
  14. Hi there Bikehubbers I recently cracked the frame in my dual sus mtb and had it repaired but as the crack was at an awkward position on the chainstay, the repair has me worried and I just can't ride without looking down to see if it has broken on me. I have now gotten to a point that I don't go ride anymore because I am scared of a catastrophic failure and an impending hospital visit. I am a bit (understatement) broke and am looking at the cheapest possible solution which I figured would be to buy a cheap hardtail frame and shift all my current components into it. I was hoping to find this solution in the classifieds but have had no luck as cheap ass 26" hardtail frames seem to be hard to come by. Can anybody in Bikehubland offer any advice? I would need something that supports 26" with qr axle, straight 1 1/8" steerer, post mount brake, 30.9 seatpost and Hollowtech 2 crank. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Closest I have come is the on one UK website which has a compatible frame at $170, problem is shipping on that frame is a further $173 which kind of blows that idea off the water
  15. Your potato story was the first thing I read on this beautiful Friday and it was well worth it. Thank you for starting my day off like that. Also, while I'm here and it is Friday I might as well chip in to this kinda weird thread, surely if less pivots are better hardtails are clearly the best
  16. Will that 1x trigger work with a giant post ? The giant switch is seriously lacking in design and I would love to replace it with that "shifter" like trigger
  17. Damn, this thread is still going... Looks like it might make it to Friday
  18. If I understand your question properly then it seems the answer is you don't.
  19. Anyone know if lyne sells the switch loose ? It looks far nicer than the one my giant post came with
  20. This is the most sound advice I see on this thread
  21. Yeah, is it ? I'm keen to see some stats
