Last weekend I was at Northern Farms with my fiance. She got a flat and i forgot she rides tubes and not tubeless like me so didnt bring a spare. So while pushing the bike back to the parking 3km away along came frikkie and his group. Frikkie handed me his spare and off he went after i got his cell number. Seems i didnt take his cell number correctly as i sent a sms to thank him and ask for his banking details to deposit money for atleast 4 tubes for his help but didnt get a response. So i would just like to say, Frikkie if you on the hub, thanks for the tube, you help does not go unnoticed.

Hi all. I am really interested in buying this bike but would like to get feedback from all you knowledgable cycle experts out there. My biggest concern is not the frame as this bike was ridden by the winner of this years Giro d talia so the name is credible. Its the parts on the bike that worry me. Although 40% of the components are ultegra the other are oval which I have never heard of before. Any feedback would be great before I spend 30k on bike and stuffs.

For the third time this week I was riding the lower section of groenkloof close to the UNISA building. First thing that struck me on Wednesday is the gate between the Gautrain and the nature reserve was open, even today it was still wide open. Now anyone who cycles next to the fence knows how many brothers walk on the railway line and can so easily decide to go through the gate for a short cut and the next thing you know...hands in the air. My next gripe is the amount of brothers pissing it up and dropping and smashing their bottles on the ground on the single track again the lower side. Does groenkloof not get cleaners to clean the place up. Had to swerve and bunny hop broken bottles today. Yes, the upper section is better as far as animals and privacy is concerned but the lower section is so much more forested and I enjoy cycling around and through the river. Also the noise of the music blairing is enough to put anybody off. Are there not rules about DB noises being too loud? Anyway, that's my rant but I am pretty much getting sick of the same sh#!t at groenkloof weekend after weekend.

Simple answer: it weighs too much. No matter what bike it is we will never be satisfied with the weight

So I know CWC is closed at the moment while they do upgrades and move to a better location. As I was down in Cape Town for 2 days I wanted to buy some spares and as CWC is the cheapest I was dissapointed to find out they were closed for those few days while I was there. True to form, Chris lets me know that even that they are closed while I was there he would open his doors to me so I could buy some parts before I fly back to Joburg. I got hold of Chris yesturday to let him know I was in town and he explained where the new shop was and that he would help me. Unfortunately I got stuck in a meeting that went way past the cut off time and had to rush to make my flight and let Chris know I would not make it. So rave on to you Chris and your staff. I will def make use of your on-line system to buy the parts. What fantastic service, by far the best service I have experienced from any bike shop. Your dads legacy surely continues from when I was a boy living in durbanville way back then. Bravo Sir Bravo
