  1. Plenty of good gravel out there, loads of link up options out to Oyster Bay and back to Humansdorp side etc. Put the largest tyres you can fit onto your road bike and venture out on the dirt.
  2. As someone looking to do Nr1, is the only way to get a semi decent seeding to do a seeding race? Or will other event (In my case Race to the Sea 100 and W2W) be taken into account?
  3. How does this claiming back of VAT work? Our engineering firm might just need a few enduro bikes for business purposes.
  4. With sizing there is only one answer. Go sit on it.
  5. Thread revival. I have stripped the drive side (reverse thread) main pivot bolt on my 2019 Stumpy and Spez only sells the full kit at quite a price. Any ideas where this can be machined for cheaper? I am guessing as this is the bolt most people strip, the parts bins would not stock a lot of these. Based in Stellenbosch.
  6. What derailleur and shifters are you running with this setup?
  7. Very impressive, well done!
  8. Looks like the weather is playing along for the day! Should be a great day out,
  9. Mega thread resurrection. Recommendations on bike fitting in Stellenbosch?
  10. Good to have you back and posting!
  11. So it was you who beat me to the sale! Enjoy it!
  12. Top tip from Seths Bike Hacks. If you have shifting issues. Take off your derailleur, put it in a glass of water, if it sinks, the derailleur is bent and you should replace it or straighten it...
  13. Put a 27.5 on the back and to raise the BB back up, stick a longer fork on the front. Head angle will be much slacker, but coming from XC numbers, should be lekker! Really keen to hear how this turns out.
  14. Jonkershoek.
  15. My bike took me to the theatre of dreams
  16. Someone please start a Comments on Classifieds thread, that should set the alarm bells off.
  17. How does this work in terms of declaration of goods and import taxes? Would you need to proof the bike was bought here way back when? I was wondering about this as I was thinking to buy a bike at cheaper European prices and just fly it back with me whilst I am overseas. The workaround is fly a cheapo over so you can show you left with a bike and came back with a bike. Not sure if this has ever been an issue.
  18. Does not seem that clear looking at the below. https://www.pinkbike.com/news/norco-teases-new-factory-racing-rider.html
  19. If you have lost that much fork pressure in two months, you might as well go for the service. You should not be leaking so much in such a short time. @droo at Stoke suspension in Woodstock can sort you out. But also, no bike shop will charge you to use their shock pump. If they are, get another shop.
  20. If the steerer was 200mm you had a deal
  21. Updates for 2024 on 'standard' vitality Fitness points We're also expanding the ways in which you can earn Vitality fitness points, recognising short, high intensity workouts and long, light intensity workouts. Earn 100 points for a workout of 15 to 29 minutes at a moderate or high intensity of over 70% of your age related maximum heart rate. Earn 200 points for a workout of 60 to 89 minutes and 300 points for a workout longer than 90 minutes, for light intensity workouts of 60% to 69% of your age-related maximum heart rate. Due to low take-up, the Vitality High Performance Fitness Assessment will be discontinued in 2024.
  22. Flexibility really. If it does not work out as good as I originally thought. Or I change up how I train
  23. Does anyone know if you can or how hard it is to switch back from the endurance catagory to the standard one?
  24. They used to do the Alu in comp spec. Back in 2019 Specialized STB did me a solid and ordered 2 bikes with differing kits and swopped out parts but was a much simpler switch. I wanted an Alloy ST Stumpy in Comp spec, but the comp spec was only on Alu LT and Carbon ST. So they ordered both and switched out forks and linkages. How about the Status, looks like heaps of fun, or too much travel for you? https://www.specialized.com/za/en/status-160/p/199767?color=320387-199767 I see the US gets a status 140, might be worth asking around? https://www.specialized.com/us/en/status-140/p/199765?color=320385-199765
