  1. Anyone have a streaming site for today's race?
  2. 100%. Been using that set-up for years...no problem.
  3. Scroll back to 1444 yesterday. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/187957-cyclists-attacked-in-muldersdrift/?do=findComment&comment=3760399
  4. Didn't Farr have a fork for R3k-ish or was I dreaming? https://ridefarr.com/int/product-category/forks/
  5. Honest question...which is the kryptonite lock that one can supposedly open with a pen?
  6. Plenty of okes on the Hub who have done solo tours...a bit of prep is all that's required. Wouldn't know about a record...
  7. Sounds like a good deal. I've had 2 Xeniths...both have cracked on the seat stay (one at the join with the seat tube and the other at the brake bridge). Worth checking very carefully there. Not saying they all crack but if I was buying, I'd be looking. Good news, they're a nice bike!
  8. Feedback for those interested...Rhino and Lion 'cyclist' car park was already open at 0610 when I got there today. Plan to try Greensleeves soon...anything to avoid the cradle congestion.
  9. Would anyone know what the opening times (and any parking costs?), are currently for parking at the Rhino & Lion car park? I'm a bit out of touch since their upgrade and Covid etc...
  10. These guys are worth a look. I have their handlebar accessory bag and it's good quality. https://thermowear.co.za/
  11. Hermanus to Caledon on the H en A tar road is a great ride but I hope you like hills... Or on your gravel bike ride the H en A road and then turn left (after a steep pull and just before a dam) on the Karwyderskrall (sp?) Road which is gravel at that point and ride until you hit a T-junction on tar and then ride back to Hermanus. Incidentally the tar Karwyderskrall road to Botrivier is very pretty and quiet.
  12. I did see a group of workers yesterday (?) sweeping up sand from the cycle lane on Beyers (west side just past Walkhaven). But despite this, people should step up and offer to help upkeep a facility that one uses.
  13. A group of Hubbers did some hedge trimming on the Caves road (last year). It is amazing get how much can be done in a couple of hours if even 5 people pitch in. I'd be happy to help with a road clean-up.
  14. When you get back to JHB, consider riding in the areas just outside the Cradle e.g. Harties, the satellite road, Maropeng, out to Magalies etc. There's lots of good riding out there on (mostly) quiet roads with the usual SA road safety caveat...
  15. https://store.ineosgrenadiers.com/ Anyone any idea the revenue generated by this, as an example? (I don't).
  16. How did you warm-up back in the day? And do you do a warm-up now? A 20-min trainer warm-up, or on the road may get your neurology firing?
  17. 38 mm gravel kings have been quite successful. When new wheels are acquired, I might try 50 mm...

Did anyone ride it? Report back if you please?
  19. Cotic used to have a SA agent. Perhaps not anymore? Can't remember the oke's name. Anyone? And Ride Farr used to import their own steel frames. Also can't remember if they made the switch to Al only?
