  1. Call yourself doper if you like but your scenarios are not the same as doping. Doping is intent to cheat Medicating yourself for quality of life or survival is NOT doping no matter how black and white people wish to paint it
  2. Clearly CSA has taken mitigating circumstances into account or someone's bank balance just received a "dividend"
  3. Inhalers like Venteze are not controlled btw
  4. depending on the medication he may not need a TUE. Seretide (corticosteriod based) is exempt as long as the doses are as prescribed.
  5. Maybe she doesn't really feel like the grilling she'll get on the hub
  6. Think about about production controls around generics. Maybe there's something interesting to discover there. Its easy to take the moral high high ground when approaching the problem with only what is presented in front of you.
  7. If weekend warriors were tested every week I'm sure they'd have more bad luck too. AS it stands, statistically a weekend warrior has less chance o getting caught since the only time they are likely to get caught is at a major event and the odds are still in their favour, not the pro's at the sharp end.
  8. Cheaper medication means a short cut has been taken somewhere, perhaps in the blending plant or packaging plants? Risks of trace contamination higher?
  9. Why Supersport? There's better networks with more interesting presenters
  10. I don;t think it would be that black and white if you were on the receiving end of someone elses **** up
  11. agreed but often you get to the pharmacy to pick up your meds and they tell you "ooops we'reout of stock on the prescription meds but we have a generic......." You say " is it the same stuff?" They say " Yes its just not made by the same company and its cheaper so its easier on your medical savings" and therein lies the makings of the next Bikehub Friday Saga
  12. The name grandstand management is appropriate
  13. You mean the Controversial tue for corticosteroids during the tour of romandie? And therein lies the rub. Froome being a high profile rider gets a TUE during an event. In SA riders apply and days later nothing.... Are professionals supposed to ignore sponsorship obligations while they wait for bureaucratic bungling to delay what should be a simple process. If local riders are getting caught out by bureaucracy then is it fair to label them cheats?
  14. Firstly TUE's are a joke. Never heard of one being granted so taking moral high ground "applying for TUE is simple enough" doesn't help anyone as that's a theoretical construct. There are plenty or people who develop elevated hbp for a while and exercise while medicated to treat the condition. Can't assess the situation without understanding what was being treated. If anything at all
  15. Hope none of these guys are doping and get caught
  16. just roll up a chair, there more to come I'm sure. Will there be anyone left to race the Epic?
  17. maybe she bought a new pair f heels and needed to make her ankles look slender in them?
  18. A pal who mtb'd in the forest since 1991 explained exactly this to me over a braai at his just after Argus last year. He figured that the area will even better once its been given the time to restore itself. I can see what he meant as even in the lower forest more raptors are visible on the wing,.....more snakes too. exciting times
  19. but cyclists are a small percentage of end users. Where else would these drugs be making money besides overpriced legitimate medical treatments?
  20. got caught out did you?
  21. why are the cyclists the main target? Want about the manufacturers, Distributors? Surely the monitoring of the effects on performance are not done by the riders?
