  1. Image rights. WTF? Wasn't image rights also behind the ugly spat between Frans Steyn and SARU? That's the problem with these players, they think the sun shines from you know where. If this really is a case of Goosen trying to get out of a club simply to earn even more at another club, then Racing should burn him in court. This little twat should've stayed in SA when he was something like 20yrs old and touted to be the next best thing. Instead he chased $$$ overseas and gave SA the middle finger. Kry vir jou...
  2. Holy cow that is huge!
  3. Haven't done it myself, but it should.
  4. Once you've downloaded the app on your phone, just activate bluetooth on your phone and watch and they should pair automatically. Otherwise you can go to "pair" on the watch. I haven't set up wifi on the watch yet, but apparently it'll automatically upload all your activities once connected (and download software updates I presume). It takes time to learn all the functions of this thing. I'm still learning after 3 months..
  5. Lately, my watch does a software update every time I connect to my phone. And it takes FOREVER, like an hour at least. If I leave it and the phone goes off the process stops, so I actually have to keep the screen on the whole time so that it can finish "sending software update". And I check that it completes successfully so it's not like it continually tries to do the same update. This is really becoming annoying now, anyone else experiencing this?
  6. Don't worry, it happened to me as well. First ride with it was a race, and where my bike comp said I've done 40 odd km my fenix said only about 20. Check that your settings on you comp and phone are the same as the watch, otherwise it changes your watch settings every time you connect.
  7. How big a difference? Between my bike comp and fenix there's usually less than 1km difference over a 20km ride. Are you sure your fenix is in km and not miles?

    Cricket......

If I'm not mistaken Ray Jennings was sacked shortly after winning the U-19 world cup. So I doubt CSA is in his good books.. The next world cup we lost almost all our matches, including one to Zim. I remember everyone asking how is it possible to fire such a talented (and WC winning) coach only to plummet to new depths. Throw in quota targets, well you can't really call them targets anymore because it is more than just a target, then you understand why these guys leave. There are only 11 spots up for grabs and although Viljoen, Harmer and van Zyl have been around the test squad it is unlikely they will get an extended chance again. So why stick around to play in the horribly low quality domestic circus?
  9. Ok not directly cycling related, but maybe my old LED Lenser bracket will fit this one then I can use it for night rides. Should arrive tomorrow, can't wait!
  10. If he becomes the head coach yes. Remember Eddie Jones was part of the 2007 setup. Then SA rugby wouldn't give him a bok blazer because he's a foreigner. SARU must wake up and smell the roses. In terms of coaching abilities we are waaay behind the rest of the world, especially NZ
  11. Just imagine what someone like that could do with the talent we have in SA. But yeah unfortunately I also doubt AC will get the boot. He'll probably get another year and the option of selecting new assistants. But we can live in hope....
  12. We all want AC out. If SARU decides to keep him the fans will vote with their pockets and not attend bok matches next year. Which will push SARU into even deeper financial dwang. AC will kill SA rugby if he stays for another year! Imagine if we could get Rennie and surround him with former boks (maybe Ackers and Franco?) who can maintain the bok culture. We need a foreigner who will select without provincial or personal bias towards certain players.
  13. There are so many contrasting reports around. Some say we don't have the cash to get rid of Totti. They say the assistants will get the chop and Totti can pick who he wants next year. Others, like what you mentioned says he's going to get fired and a kiwi is being lined up. I (and I think most SA rugby supporters) wish for the latter to be true
  14. I think that's the one I saw. Lekker man, it's a flippen good deal! I paid R500 less for the normal F3 with strap.
  15. Good luck with that! From which shop did you buy? Saw a really good deal on the HR for just over 8k somewhere, can't remember where now.
  16. hahaha! Don't worry, once you have it you'll know it was worth it. Now to wait patiently.. Something I'm not very good at! When I buy stuff online I become a little annoying sh*t who keeps bugging the shop/courier service for my goods
  17. So, AlanD, did you get a fenix on black Friday?
  18. For sure. Only other coach in SA that we could put in that same bracket is Johan Ackerman. I would love for him to stay with the Lions and possibly win us a super rugby trophy, but we need him more at the boks. And we need foreign assistance as well
  19. All the problems we have in SA rugby, players overseas, quotas, amateur structures etc have been there for a long time. Yet our previous coaches still managed to win more games than they lose. Yes it makes it difficult to be the bok coach, but I believe we still have enough talent to be among the top 3 teams in the world. AC is just a clueless coach who fokked up badly this year. yes he was appointed late, but after 11 test matches there has been no improvement, in fact, things have gotten even worse. Several players from the Lions have gone from the form of their life to down in the dumps. How does a coach do that? Eddie Jones inherited a very poor Eng squad and with that same squad he now sits on 11 matches unbeaten. he had even less time to work with his squad than AC, he was already in CT when Eng managed to snatch him away from the Stormers. yet AC keeps on blaming his players and the fact that he only started in April (yet we're almost in December now) Fire AC now, appoint Ackerman and spend some time chasing a foreigner (NZ'der hopefully) to assist Ackers. Swys de Bruyn can take over as head coach of the lions. Perhaps Ackers can even continue as coach of the Lions in super rugby? I think Cheika did that for a year didn't he?

    Cricket......

Yes but that was Shamzi closing his eyes and praying he'll make contact. Like Tahir bats. At the other end you had Faf on 100* looking on. Anyways, it was still a good decision to make them bat. Even though we didn't get a wicket and struggling a bit this morning. Better fight shown by the Aussies.

    Cricket......

Flippen well done to him! I think he's one of those guys who performs when the pressure is on. Also I like the way he declared and bowled at them before stumps. For too long our cricket has been over conservative. Only criticism I have at the moment is the weird decision to let Shamzi face the last 3 overs, instead of going for quick runs. Other than that, job well done Faf!

    Cricket......

75.1Starc to du Plessis, 1 run, overpitched on off, hit to a deep mid-off and takes the single again. 74.1 Hazlewood to du Plessis, 1 run, good length on off, tapped to point for a run. Faf happy to take the single and trust Shamsi 73.2Starc to du Plessis, 1 run, angling in towards the body, Faf shuffles across and glides the ball towards fine leg, is there time for two? nope, just one, which means Shamsi is on strike Declaration came at the end of over 75. So in the previous 3 overs Faf hit, tapped and glided the ball for singles early on. Shamzi faced the rest of those overs.

I'm not watching, just following on cricinfo. Taking singles from the first ball of the over just doesn't sit right with me

    Cricket......

Declaration makes his tactics even more puzzling. If you as the captain want a bowl and you know you're going to declare in an over or 2, why not flippen go for your shots and hit it!? Score a quick 20 or 30 runs extra. I'm telling you, Faf was being selfish here

    Cricket......

great 100 by Faf. Is it just me, or is he being a little selfish here at the end? He's taking singles early in the over, leaving Shamzi to fend off the quicks. Even though it sounds like he's batting like a fish out of water. Why is Faf not protecting him by staying on strike? Is it because he wants to end not out so his Avg improves? Why not hit a couple of boundaries, you know Shamzi isn't going to last long
