  1. Went for a slow and lazy Sunday afternoon ride. I was so relaxed that I didn't see some tree branches hanging over the road, and the tip of one went into the top of my helmet. Luckily I kept my head... Amazing the power water has. This river was in flood about 2 weeks ago and afterwards we couldn't believe how it moved big boulders around. You could actually hear the boulders banging against each other under the water

    Cricket......

yeah but I can't help but think this sideshow has taken our team's focus off the cricket. meanwhile the aussies are dead quiet and didn't get involved. Hope I'm wrong, would love for us to drill them 3-0!
  3. For a second there I thought that rhino was sitting on the bike
  4. I thought Italy would run us close but I'm actually speechless now. As a lot of people have said already, this is the worst year of bok rugby, ever! AC has now had 11 games in charge and it just keeps getting worse. He really needs to resign now and piss off for the good of sa rugby. He is destroying the Bok emblem and also the careers of many players in that squad
  5. Some people still wear bok jerseys!?
  6. Pull the trigger man, don't hesitate! Post pics when you get it..

    Kohli is an incredible batsman!
  8. Get one, it is an awesome watch. Life is short, spoil yourself every now and again! At first I was a little surprised by how big it is, and thought I would bump and scratch it all the time. But I haven't scratched it in 3 months now and I don't even notice it on my arm anymore (ok I lie, I stare at it a lot every day! ) I have the normal F3, not the HR. If you guy for the Fenix3 HR then maybe consider getting the HR strap extra if you want to put the watch on your handlebars. I put mine on the bars when I'm on the trainer. If I'm on my mtb I keep it on the wrist.

Ok so in defense of Faf. 9/10 players chew gum whilst on the field (which really annoys me). So if you're chewing gum are you not allowed to "work" the ball? That's probably what he's going to argue, he just happened to be chewing gum and wasn't intentionally rubbing gum on the ball. BUT the video footage does not help his case. The way he works his finger in and out with the gum stuck on his tongue does not look good.. The fact that he's been guilty of ball tampering before won't help either. Will be flippen interesting to see the outcome of this investigation!
  10. Why the hell is Strauss still there? this was the perfect opportunity to blood a few youngsters, give guys like Bongi and Marx more game time. Even more bizarre, still no Rohan. Absolutely pathetic. Dunno if I should waste my time watching this..
  11. Bok team vs Italy: 1. Tendai Mtawarira, 2. Adriaan Strauss (Capt), 3. Vincent Koch, 4. Pieter-Steph du Toit, 5. Lood de Jager, 6. Nizaam Carr, 7. Willem Alberts, 8 Warren Whiteley, 9. Rudi Paige, 10. Patrick Lambie, 11. Bryan Habana, 12. Damian de Allende, 13. Francois Venter, 14. Ruan Combrinck, 15. Willie le Roux. Substitutes: 16. Bongi Mbonanmbi, 17. Steven Kitshoff, 18. It's probably a case of the Aussies looking for a reason to get back at us and take the shine away from our win. BUT, Faf has been found guilty of ball tampering before. After the first test the Aussies already started asking questions about how we got the ball to swing so much more than them. And they said the cameramen will be watching the ball closely in the 2nd test. So to go and do anything that might be seen as ball tampering was really stupid. Whether it could have any affect on the ball or not

    Cricket......

Dude, watch the video and read the articles. It's as obvious as daylight he rubs his finger on the gum and then smears it on the ball. Law 42.3 of the MCC's Laws of Cricket states that a fielder may polish a ball, "provided that no artificial substance is used". I guess they just have to decide whether gum/mint is artificial substance?

I also watched that video over lunch time. That is just really stupid by faf. All I can think is he does not know the rules, because he doesn't even try to hide it. It really does put a black mark on the SA performance. And 2nd time guilty for him if I'm not mistaken, so surely a ban of some sort is coming his way? Stupid stupid stupid
  15. hahaha, nothing to see here, just keep moving on...

Jo jo jo, didn't know Parnell was still in the picture! If that's the case, then I agree with you, rather keep Duminy! Kallis was a once in a lifetime player
  17. leeubok

    Cricket......

yeah Duminy is handy as a part time bowler. But he hasn't been used much lately. Although Faf seems to use him more than AB did. My point was just if he isn't going to be used as an extra bowler, then his batting doesn't warrant his place in the team. One 100 shouldn't cement any persons spot for the next 10 years. And if you don't drop Duminy, who else do you drop when AB comes back? I suspect either cook or elgar will get the chop with Amla opening again?
  18. leeubok

    Cricket......

Supports my thought of moving him down the order when AB comes back. My team would be: Cook, Elgar, Amla, AB, Bavuma, Faf ©, De Cock, Philander, Abbot, Rabada, Morkel/the new spin guy Then you still have Rilee waiting for another chance, Steyn when/if he comes back after injury and the new Pretorius guy This group can go far!

    Cricket......

Well done Proteas! Lekker seeing the Aussies hurt.. We sure know that feeling! I've said it before, I'm not a big fan of Faf. His batting alone doesn't always warrant his spot in the national sides. And when he bats with a strike rate of -10 I want to crap in my pants. BUT as a captain he's doing really well. What I would do is bring back AB and move Faf down the order to 5 or 6. Drop Duminy. Yes he scored a great 100 in Aus, but those runs are becoming very few and far between. His wicket taking even more so. And for those saying AB should be left out... The guy averages 50 in tests and 54 in ODI's. People often argue about whether he or Virat Kohli is the best batsmen in the world. He's also one of the best fielders around. How do you even consider leaving out a player like that???
  20. That's weird hey, I've also noticed some days I feel slow but when I get back home I've done a few PR's. Some days it feels like I'm flying, get home and the times are slooooow!
  21. For the team to stand up and basically revolt against the coach things will have to be REALLY bad. Also, as a player you don't want to do anything that might piss your one chance of playing for the boks down the drain. So I doubt it will ever get to that stage. And as for the quota thing. AC picked only 3 POC in his starting team. So you can't really blame the loss on that. Yes it affects SA rugby very badly in general, and it's one big reason why so many of our players bugger off overseas. But my point is, AC is just a shite coach and no matter the quality of players at his disposal will always achieve mediocre results. I'm calling for a coach like Johan Ackerman who took a bunch of no-names, unwanted players from other unions and coached them into a formidable team that beat 4/5 NZ super rugby teams this year. AC in his stormer days had guys like Schalk Burger and Duane Vermeulen in their prime, and also J. Nienaber who is probably one of the worlds best defense coaches. And still he achieved nothing.
  22. Shame man, times are tough if you're a shark and bok supporter! At least I can look forward to the Lions super rugby campaign, where we should be title contenders!
  23. It is NOT the players. We have the talent and skill in this country to match and probably better NZ. What we do not have is professional administrators to run the game properly, and we do not have coaches to match NZ. I will bet my house that if you hand the SA coaching position to the likes of Eddie Jones/Robbie Deans/John Mitchell/Joe Schmidt, and you allow them to select on MERIT, you will end up with 1 of the best teams in the world. Even with quota restrictions I bet they could play a flippen good team. AC is clueless and must go. Time to headhunt a foreigner and partner him with someone like Ackermann/Swys de Bruyn.

Care to clarify how we are better without arguably the worlds best batsmen? They should take the captaincy away from him though. Let him worry only about his own performance. I'm no fan of Faf but he has been really good at captaining the side. He seems to flourish whereas other players like Amla and AB just don't seem suited for the job.
  25. To add to your points: 13. Venter is being thrown to the wolves exactly the same way Mapoe was. No 13 will perform outside duh duh. So what is AC going to do, keep on changing 13's until we've run out of options? Fix the blerrie problem at 12!!! 12. duh duh is enough of a reason for me to be neutral this game. I won't ever support another team but I won't get excited by the boks either. 11. Agree with you on JPP. Old, slow and over the hill 9. Even Piet v Zyl made a difference when he replaced Paige last wknd Our forwards are completely imbalanced. Picking the biggest and heaviest forwards the message is simple: crash and bash all day long. If Lambie gets the ball, KICK IT. If he happens to pass it, duh duh will "kop af storm voort". Eddie was able to out-think us with the Japan team. What do you think will he do to us with the england team???
