  1. Yeah, that was me.
  2. Nearly went over the tail of a Mozambique spitting cobra a couple of days ago. Luckily he was more intent on getting the hell out of there, rather than pick a fight with me. I would've lost though as I wasn't even wearing glasses, and they are dead accurate with aiming for the eyes

Wow! However, he will at some stage experience the pressure of keeping his spot in the team. Especially if the runs dry up for a period

Shebeen, I'm with you. Bavuma is a likeable guy but his average speaks for itself. Only 1 hundred in quite a number of tests just doesn't cut it. I'm a big Markram fan, but at the moment he's also not cutting it at international level. I don't know if it'll help giving him more opportunities, but with Rassie and now Malan putting their hands up it's going to be difficult for Bavuma and Markram to get back in the team. I don't rate Ngidi, I think Pretorius and Nortje are both much better than him. Would be a shame to push Ngidi ahead of them just to make up the numbers. Although, technically they look at the " numbers" across all 3 formats over the season, so they could pick the test team on merit and load the ODI and T20 teams. But I doubt an all white team is going to fly.. And don't get me wrong here, I'm not advocating for an all white team here. I just want the test team to be picked on merit. I don't care about T20 cricket.. There was a suggestion to move De Kock up the order and give the gloves to the next guy in line. That might work if we're struggling to get a decent top order together, but for now they look fine to me. Faf must just get his act together and start scoring some runs again!

What? The quota issue? Or are you referring to the Buttler incident?

    Cricket......

I haven't visited this thread in a long time, recent results and off field issues made a serious dent in my enthusiasm to watch the game. But finally, with some personnel changes it seems SA cricket is on the road to recovering. The 1st test win against the poms was great, and even in this loss they showed a lot of fight that wasn't there for a long time. Only a couple of brain farts from our senior batsmen cost us the draw. I look forward to what Smith, Kallis and Boucher can do with this team going forward. As long as the politicians let them be, we can start challenging for a top 3 spot in world cricket again
  7. Just down the road from our house to our local "swemgat" at the river. My bike is the only one that doesn't have a stand.. LOL
  8. My 6 year old wants an different colour bike every second day. I'd also be on 20+ kids bikes if he had his way..
  9. Wow, I didn't know this! I want to echo what others have said, thanks to you and Bogus for the expert advice given here. Graeme, it's a pity I didn't get to meet you in person when I dropped my Pyga frame off at your workshop. I hope there isn't a next time, but maybe I'll just pop in to say hello whenever I'm in Durbs again
  10. The guys at carbon repair in Jhb also told me that there are certain areas on a bike's frame that are too risky to repair, and they wouldn't touch it. At the end of the day though it's up to you, the bike owner, to decide whether you feel comfortable to repair or not. All the guys questioning the repairers knowledge and credibility - if you don't feel comfortable then simply don't do it.
  11. Just a question. Does a LBS not also have a possible conflict of interest here, as they are selling a new frame which the insurance is paying for? Surely a LBS would rather replace a frame than send the business to a repairer?
  12. Sorry, only noticed your post now. It was R4 000 for a complete frame respray (at Graeme Kidson). About 3 years ago I paid I think R2500 - R3000 for a patch job on the top tube only of my previous bike (at carbon repair Jhb)
  13. Thanks, I like it too..
  14. And here she is! After the paint job I added a 1x12 groupset. 34T Csixx chainring and 11-50 Sunrace casette.
  15. After I dropped my frame off I popped into their shop in Howick and had a look at the bikes there. They told me the new frames are now 60% black, so that's what I asked Graeme to do for me. Is the Mobu the Alu version of the Stage? Or a completely new bike?
  16. Graeme sent me these pics this morning:
  17. Earlier in the year I had another off on my bike and scuffed the frame, again! I was so the moer in and lacked motivation to ride, I sommer hung it up for the rest of the year. Several months down the line my boep has grown significantly and I'm probably as unfit as I've ever been. So I finally decided to strip my bike and hand the frame to Carbon Ninja to work his magic on it. Also, whilst stripping everything I noticed some damage on the bottom of the frame where I must've hit a rock. So that is being repaired as well. I'm doing away with the graphics on the top tube, and just keeping the Pyga and Stage lettering in silver, rest of frame raw carbon. And whilst I'm at it, it's high time to upgrade the old 3x10 system I carried over from my previous bike. Haven't quite made up my mind yet whether I should go 1x10/11 SRAM GX or Shimano SLX. Either way, I now can't wait to get my bike back again and get back in the saddle! Frame should be done soon, hopefuly, then it's off to the LBS to put it all back together again.

Proteas likely to win this? Seems like it was indeed a case of not being able to perform under pressure

How about a 145Km/h delivery into the ballbox first? They can go out with the 2nd delivery..

    Cricket......

Actually, perhaps we should lose to SL just to keep the semi playoffs interesting and to put to bed any doubt that this is a crap Proteas team. And then we SMASH the Aussies in our last game!

Yeah I feel the same way. And I'm sure the players are aware that if they win the next two games everyone will accuse them of only winning when pressure is off.
