Not exactly a long time to train Shaun. I suggest you and your buddy just go ride those bikes and get comfortable with the way they feel and controlling them and how to use your gears and brakes. I am assuming some level of fitness riding MTB's. Go ride 50km this Saturday and see how you feel. The fun and adrenaline of the worlds most beautiful fun ride will get you through the rest Then come the CTCT just go out and have fun, enjoy the day and stay out of trouble. Next year train a bit earlier, learn the black art of bunch riding and go for it

I’m no pro and I have an irrational fear of snakes with regular nightmares - but I live on a small holding and occasionally have to move them - the pole is 1.8m long, the longest I could find believe me I’d love not to have made this purchase this boomslang was 1.2m outside my bike room and this relatively harmless red lipped herald was actually in my bike room - and that was just this last week

Went to Durban to get a nearly new car for the wife as the fuel costs and changes to income made this necessary after a week of surfing I decided to take 5 days to get home - day 2 saw me break my hanger when my bike blew over in a bizarrely gentle fall into soft grass no spare which is just stupid and so my fun ends and I’m heading home Worse I spent the last week eating like I was about to ride 500km in 5 days

I have padding at the rear naturally - it takes at least 5 hours to get a sore bum and I very rarely put in a 5 hour stint. My front bum however is super sensitive. I have tried everything and would hate to add the amount of I have spent on cheap bibs, expensive bibs and ludicrously expensive bibs I think Assos is insanely priced as are my 2 Rapha bibs. But I can tell you that my scrotum feels they are fair value. And yes I have tried every single local brand any of whom I'd love to support. The other thing with Assos is the sizing doesn't vary in my experience
