Hi, it’s not technical and you’ll be fine - practice going uphill though as there are some decent climbs - if you feel out of your depth here and there, just push but it’s mostly smooth and fun

@Benkydo you think criticism that you are soft for riding a teenie 36 chainring with a massive 52 is warranted? I mean over 3000km I could understand but not for these short rides. Just what I heard on the street/gravel Also I have heard bling chainrings with matching shiny bolts and stuff is what the big dogs are using these days

If you’re looking for a nice closed road race, The herald in PE just before the argus is when I usually dust off a roadbike and realise how woefully unprepared I am for the CTCT 2 weeks later but at least I’ve done a training ride

are there more or less people cycling on roadbikes? Seems like cyclists have safer options and if cycling is a lifestyle more than a race, you can stretch your loot a bit further and include the family. For us most places we like aren't down a smooth tar road But as we are here flogging dead horses I would just like to say I really miss the fax machine

I thought ebikes weren’t allowed at K2C there were a few and the negative comments were many but probably difficult to hear over the engine I have no problem with ebikes and my semi regular riding partner has one - he’s a large unit and rides hard but he didn’t ride K2C as he told me it didn’t have an ebike cat

But it was unfair that he didn’t give them a chance to all finish first with him

That Geo is all the rage now except we call them gravel bikes and spend a fortune on them looks lovely and maybe to the right guy, 4K but probably a lot less. If it’s in the way sell it but otherwise keep it good luck
