  1. As long as the side/cornering knobs are okay you should be fine
  2. Yes, so nice. Hope they have MTB though.
  3. My 27.2 x 350 weighs 142 grams, it is a Ti-Lite Pro.
  4. Tubbies are monumentally expensive and very impractical for general use mtb, racing is another story. Wheather you slime them or not a tubbie is definatley more likely to leave you in the lurch than a good old clicher is.
  5. Thats the idea, I have an XT at the front at the moment just cause it is there. I have my eye on a Token road one though.
  6. I have a 32 x34 at the moment. My mate at an engineering works is gonna make me a 29 tooth for the front though, then'll go back to 32 at the back.
  7. I like the less shifting involved You don't have to use the granny Then why have it on the bike?
  8. I like the less shifting involved
  9. I found that by removing a a spacer, the chain did not drop as much, your thoughts?
  10. I took a spacer out from behind the BB on the drive side, so to answer your question yup you do. This way the chain does not drop as frequently.
  11. You can do it yourself, I only have 2 rings on my XTR cranks, I never used granny so I got rid of it. You just unbolt it from the rest of the crankset.
  12. Shifters, a cassette and a chain. You'll probably need a new chain to keep your new cassette happy.
  13. Nothing wrong with 9 speed. You can upgrade to 10 speed as the bits wear out.
  14. There is a little screw behind the lever blade, I think its a size 2 allen key. Screw in clockwise to increase reach and vice versa to decrease reach.
  15. Okay I lied, with some serious tinkering you could get this bike down to 6.4 Kgs, thats with no cutting up of anything and using the same frame.
  16. Bike is very light, you could get it down to 6.7 with some tinkering though. Wheelset consists of ZTR RACE 7000 rims, Tune Prince and Princess hub with Ti axles and ceramic bearings, spokes are Pillar Ti LTD edition made for Spitz
  17. Yeah, why you spending money on a speedneedle, when you could upgrade your wheelset?
  18. Don't get me started, please I have work to do.
  19. Then you have to buy a new adaptor as well, a costly procedure. Try getting all the air outa the system first, re-bleed if nessecary. It'll probably work and be alot cheaper.
  20. Yes they do, the pads need to wear in as do the rotors. New discs also sometimes need to be bubbled, the process by which all residual air is pumped outa da resivoirs.
  21. I am a RS man though and through, easy to service, cheaper than the competition and just as plush if you get the oils levels/densities right
  22. According to SRAM its there to eliminate any drag when climbing. Apparently it opens the pistons up slightly more. Racer X2008-08-24 04:56:44
  23. How long is a piece of string? Depends how you ride, where you ride, what the weather conditions are etc. With regular racing I go through about two drivetrains a year. Thats a cassette, chainrings, and chain.
  24. What sorta light?
