  1. That bike I think comes with PDM 520 which weigh alot, go for teh quartz, eggbeaters or something from the Xpedo range.
  2. Shimano Sram Acera NA Alivio SX3 Deore SX5 Deore LX X.7 Deore XT X.9 XTR X.0 After that its your choice really.
  3. XTR aint that much lighter than XT, u can spend less money and buy something for exotic like an Extralite or similar
  4. New wheels and tubeless conversion, use standard foldable tyres. Good wheel build would be American Classics hubs laced to ZTR Olympic rims, 2 cross with Dt Swiss Revolution spokes, 2 -1.5 mm, the 1.8 - 1.5 break quite easily. Alu nipples look cool and save about 25 grams but make for a weaker build cause you can't tension the spokes as much.
  5. You having a bad day SP
  6. Yeah you were very lucky, even more lucky not too come off the bike, bloody truckers.
  7. Glad to hear you are okay mrmed, I got hit by a taxi last year and they did pretty much the same thing. You did not get a number plate or company name?

  12. When I was on V's I used Koolstop/Swisstop, both are equally as good.
  13. Pretty sweet, SRAM are suppossedly also developing a new MTB groupset, aka, X.X. Should include a Avid's Juicy Ultimates, a X.X specific crank, very similar to the Noir, though supposedly 80 grams lighter. Big news is however that they are gonna apparently be building a Sram MTB specific wheelset, ala Zipp technology, got a 1200 gram target weight.
  14. Hey Christie do you know if Super Record is lighter than Red as a complete groupset?
  15. The new Addict LTD come in at 5.9 I think, sweet looking ride Swift, presumably RRP will be close on 100K
  16. On a another note, I am running and XTR M960 crankset and my old man, a Stlyo, he goes through a new BB every 5/6 months, thats after its been flushed out and regreased at least once. My bearings are still running solid after 18 months.
  17. Uber Cool, Still new Sram X.X is yet to be released, just wait till you see this stuff.
  18. Speedi - Dude, thats just tasteless Racer X2008-08-29 11:25:45
  19. And if your really bored you can count how many links are on your old chain and then make em the same length. Use this as a last resort, Mampara's and Johan's idea is easier
  20. You do realise you gotta tighten the bolts up first That was after tightening it at the recomended torque RX. I gathered, was just yanking your leg. What about a TK939A, they are alu and look pretty light.
  21. It will take less wear and tear than on an MTB, that said weight restrictions are there for a reason.
  22. You do realise you gotta tighten the bolts up first
  23. Mines lighter though
  24. KCNC SC WING, 120 mm, I think weighs 108 grams and is around 650 rand
