  1. Thanks! It is a Large. (PM me if you wanna chat about it, I don't wanna derail the thread)

The Farr Gravel Grinder - Steel frame and fork - Sram Apex 1x11 groupo - Lyne Carbon crankset - Rapide Gravel bar and tape - Rapide Gravel wheels with Farr Dot tyres - Funn stem and seatpost - Ryder "power" saddle - Lyne Holy Rail which lets me mount 3x bottle cages for those hot days

I will be selling the Silverback to give this bike a bit of love and replace some of the tired components.
  4. 2nd... My Silverback Slade. - Frame bought from a Hubber who stripped and painted it himself. I think it came out beautifully. - Fox 34 Performance Elite Fit4 Damper 150mm - Roval Traverse Wheels with DT350 hubs, Maxxis Agressor and Minion DHF Rubber - Shimano XT brakeset - Sram XO1 Groupo with GX cranks - Lyne 170mm dropper with Spaz Henge Saddle - One Up Pump, and EDC in the steerer - Lyne Carbon bar and alloy stem - ODI Rogue grips This bike is a ton of fun. I also occassionalu run it mullet style with a 650bx2.8" wheel on the back - this with a 130mm airspring in the fork to correct the geo.

First up... 2015 Spaz Camber Comp Carbon - Box1 11 speed groupo - Fox CTD squishy bits (they suck) - cSixx Carbon Bar with some ESI extra chunky grips - Lyne 125mm dropper and Spaz Power Saddle Arc - Roval wheels wrapped in Maxxis Ikon and Ardent Race Rubber She is my XC steed. The pedals and saddle are on my old 26er which is living on the trainer at the moment. This bike needs a bit of love though, freehub needs replacing.
  6. That'a not a bad deal at all. Obviously not as good as a refund, but all things considered I would be happy as a rider.
  7. And then they need underwear because they think there is a bear attacking them.
  8. Plent of throw toys, unfortunately nowhere to throw them haha Those squeekers keep the doggos busy for hours on end. I don't think my neighbours are too happy about it though! Is Baloo at least enjoying his new stretch of garden in the front?
  9. Mine are fine in the morning, sleep pretty much the whole day while I work, then at around 3PM they wake up and are hyperactive! I try and play some tug of war with them and wrestle with them, but I am tired before they are. When they get really worked up I just put them outside, but if I leave the door open they occasionally come smashing into the house like two wrecking balls sending couches, chairs, tables flying all around. My garden is quite small, so I need to be quite disciplined with taking them to the park to let them run free... they are seriously missing it and that is probably the first thing I will do once lock down is lifted (after going for a ride of course). They are still 2 and 3 years old so I guess it is expected.
  10. That's coz your avatar seems to have skipped a few too many leg days
  11. There are quite a few of these going around, I actually listened to a few songs for the first time today - blew my mind!
  12. On DSTV at the moment.
  13. I've got a buch of items I have been wanting to sell but just have not gotten around to it. My project for next weekend will be cleaning, taking photos, and creating ads. My ads will all say that you can dibs the item with a R100 deposit - but I will not be receiving full payment until after lock down for exactly the reason you have pointed out - I think many people will realise after a few weeks of no work that they don't have the cash available for cycling kit and I don't want to have to redund anyone or be in the situation where I have maybe spent (in my mind) that money on some goodies I have been eyeing. I don't think pinning ads now makes much sense too - everyone shopping in the classifieds now has plenty of time to sift through all the ads...
  14. The only bad thing about dogs is how short their lives are. Sterkte BigDL!
  15. Mary Poppins?
  16. Hahaha I did! Jou bliksem! At least you have plenty time to mend that tyre up now.
  17. Went for my last ride before lockdown this afternoon at Helderberg - seems like alot of people had the same idea. Have not seen ever seen the trails that busy during the week. Luckily everyone I saw was riding solo.
  18. The day my wife asks to be set up on the indoor trainer I really will know the end of the world is here!
  19. I've had one family member call me asking where they can buy an IDT today, another asking whether I'll be using mine in the next 3 weeks. You could name your price in the classifieds now!
  20. I've heard of the green ambulance before... but that was usually after a big night at varsity. Creme Soda has ALL the sugar to cure a babalas.
  21. One of the best series ever made IMO.
  22. Edit: not worth it.
  23. I'm sure there will be... but my point is pretty much the same as yours - insure your event one way or another if it so expensive!
  24. Many insurers have a built in product when you take out bike insurance. I know my CycleSure policy has event cancellation cover... I don't know the details of it to be honest, but that's just because I don't really do expensive events. I'll probably have a good look over it when I plan a stage race / multi-day event again.
