  1. It'a usually when you pull out that it becomes a sticky mess.
  2. Yes, it is! My dogs after coming inside this morning - they were clearly a little cold!
  3. If you don't get married you don't need a prenup
  4. EWC Round 1 at Contermanskloof today. The wind didn't play along, but other than that it was an awesome day out. Organisation of the event top notch again. Looking forward to the next one.
  5. It was not. And unfortunately mine isn't quite a Wildtrak, it's the worker's class 2.2... one day when I'm big.
  6. Hahaha more tyre, less rim, and I'm a happy camper.
  7. I rode one about 2 years back in Pta, the power is mind blowing! That thing should not be allowed on the road... well I guess the same can be said for most superbikes, but this one especially!
  8. I wonder what Gwinn and e.13 have to say about this
  9. That does make sense. I have never really formally trained my dogs apart from getting them to sit and give me their paw - so wouldn't be able to comment on the effect getting them later has had on them in that respect.
  10. This is interesting because there is again other info that suggests dogs are better behaved the longer they stay with their mothers because they learn manners/rules from them. I have certainly seen this with both our current dogs. We got the boxer at 3 months old because we were moving and were only ready for him a bit later, our lab we got at 3.5 months because we had Parvo on our property and did not want to expose her before she was fully vaccinated. Both our dogs know what they can/cannot do in the house, eg: neither of them have ever peed/pood in the house despite us having never potty trained them - we assume they learned this habit from their mothers. But on the other hand, they are both extremely hard to get not to dig holes? I dunno, maybe a bit of an advantage in both the approaches. Maybe the best approach of the dog could stay with it's mother till later and you can spend time with it after the 6 week period?
  11. This is an Omnico offering, not a Fox one. Previously your lbs had to book with Omnico for a service, you can just book with them directly now. But I doubt they are gonna be stealing away from the private shops - Robbie in PE, Stoke in CT, and Cogent in Pta, and the likes offer such good service and it's a pleasure to deal with these guys directly. Would be grand if the middle man can be dropped and we can buy directly from Fox though...
  12. I knew it was a risk... but I built up to it over a few months, and I did not go heavy at all - it was actually meant to increase strength there. And at this point I thought my back was fully recovered (been just short of 3 years since I last hurt it), add to that I recently lost quite a bit of weight and would say I am in the best shape since my bodybuilding days - I thought I was fine. Needless to say, I will not make the mistake again. It just sucks big time, because power lifting is a great workout, and probably the only thing I enjoy more than mtb. If I was you I would get in contact with a good biokineticist that cycles, they can do wonders for you. My mom recently had a major shoulder operation (off the bike for 6 months), and is now working with a biolineticist who is helping her immensely. She says she feels the strongest she has in 20 years.
  13. Not bad, not great either. I watched it mainly because of the main actress who was in Suburgatory a while back - stupid funny series. Here she plays a more serious role, don't know if it suits her.
  14. Only SA is clip beskrik - I think the international standard is flats for park, clips for racing.
  15. Because people want something for the R500 they spend at the GP. And GPs prescribe ab's because thet know their patients will not come back next time if they don't at least have something to show for their visit. Agree whole heartedly, the flu does not need antibiotics at all.
  16. Haven't watched either of those - maybe it's time I do... Just looked at the cast of Band of Brothers, just by that alone I can imagine it is awesome.
  17. Eina, hope you come right soon - it is one of those injuries that tend to stick around for life unfortunately. I also tend to eat tramadol more than I should.
  18. Happened for the first time lifting a tree (to plant in the garden). I was being impatient and did not wait for the guy helping me - wore plakkies too, and as I was walking tripped and lost my balance, as I corrected to stop myself falling forward the disc went. From there it was silly things like lifting a bicycle onto the bakkie or moving furniture. This specific time it was a power lifting movement - a snatch. I have gone 3 years now without issues, and I am in good shape in the gym, so it was very unexpected - esepcially since it was during warm-up and with very little weight. But that is usually how it happens - because you don't expect it to go at that moment...
  19. No Enduro this year, as I understand it the EWC series is quite a bit of admin to organise, especially with Jonkers being an EWS qualifier this year. So the guys are taking the year off Ezel to focus on EWC, next year will be back on. If I am talking through the wrong hole, please correct me There is a Greyton takeover trail day also organised by the EWC crew - looks amazing.
  20. I started watching Breaking Bad again recently - still the best show ever made IMO.
  21. Lekker relaxed ride on the Cotic around Wannabees trails. Started out with a strong headwin, but as soon as I got into the vineyards it died down. Turned out to be the perfect afternoon.
  22. It's the whole bike. The "XL frame only" part is in reference to the fact that there is only size XL available. The whole spec is even listed in the description. It's an amazing deal if it is the right size.
  23. Yup, next 2 rounds afaik. Probably means Nino will take overall again this year.
  24. Seeing as Gaze came 2nd(?) the week after winning Stellies XCO last year, I don't think it would be out of the realm of possibility for MvdP.
  25. Stick in his front wheel should do the trick No issues with e-bikes, but that's just annoying!
