  1. 36 , been married almost 9 odd years got two kids .
  2. Whahaha , i cant tell you how many people have asked me the same thing .
  3. Ok , try this . It's a win win for both of you . I got two kids too and my wife as I said gives my no crap about riding , I been doing it for 25 odd years and we been together for 9 odd. Ride early mornings in the week , and on weekends do the same , but tell her that she needs her " me time too" so when you get back from riding she must go out with mates for tea, shopping something to have her own time/ hobbies ect , then when she is back its your time with her. Take her to dinner , movie out to flea markets something to break the routine of you riding coming home and then some . Make her feel special as she is letting you ride and you appreciate it , show her this . Also get her involved in a hobby she likes and then support it 100 % .
  4. I have so many mates in the same position , wife bitching . Never understood it. I must have the best wife on earth , she supports me fully ( even the days I don't feel like getting up to ride I get a kick in the side and get told to HTFU ) and even buys my cycling stuff, pulls through to all the races , camps out at the stage races ect. last weekend I get back from my rides to lunch
  5. Just build up a SS mtb , its what i did and is a fine commuting tool concidering the road conditions. finding a Cyclocross bike is a mission .
  6. NEVER ride bikes with your other half , EVER , it causes too much unnecessary friction .

How long is a peace of string . its dependant on you , your speed , strengh ect ....... I did it last year on a mtb with knobblies and it was a single speed in 3h20. so your time will be dependant on your abilaty and fitness.

  16. Agreed but to add: 26 " better suited geometry wise for very small people 27.5 better suited to mid size 29" better suited to tall people Now let not get into a debate as Barry is small and rides a 29er ( it business for spez and he is paid loads to make the bike win on sat and sell on Monday ) But for us normal mortals the different size wheels will suite different size people better .

  23. I hear you , but its just to bring the shine back after use with turps , dont go rub the crap out of it because then it will rub it down. i have buffed many a bike to show room condition no problem . Try it .
  24. Dinkim , turps takes the tar off no prob ( does not affect the bikes paint ) brasso makes it all shinny like new again . They use turps to take tar off cars .
