please dont sand that paint it will trash it and the decals with it - strip the parts - check the bb - re-grease and re-assemble it - check the headset is adjusted and tightened correctly - re-cable it - find a campy front D and some bar tape and tires - its almost 30 years old its not supposed to look any diff to how it looks thats why its a vintage bike its a great looking old team edition coloured bianchi dont bodge it -there are plenty of bodged ones around already

you can still buy leather bar wraps precut and perforated with instructs on how to tie them - looks really nice but doesnt feel nice to ride with and if they get wet its slip city - took mine off and got some leather tape instead more grippy more comfy

yeah the cassette thing was the real issue - i have no complaints about shamals it looks good with both (get it "looks" .............oh never mind )

i get no notifications of a messge in this "chat " why does classifieds have chat and everything else have personal messages - it makes no sense why there are 2 different systems and the one has no read reciepts..... and more importantly the one that matters (marketplace) doesnt send me an alert when someone "chats " back ....really doesnt help i come here to trade not send personals to other people in a social way

i get random menus when i click my profile icon - one shows "chat" the other menu shows private messenger - its random click once you get menu 1 then click again sometimes menu 2 sometimes menu 1 i have sent a "chat" to a hubber enquiring about buying advertised items (chat is the default message option not personal messenger ??) "chat" doesnt show if its been read (like the read at ..on personal messenger)so he has not replied and i dont know if he is just ignoring me or is also lost trying to read replies to his advert maybe a couple of tick marks that change colour .....

i live in Overberg ride it all the time its perfectly safe if you keep left and use a tail light

its a Portacatena a fancy version of that braised on chain stud that some frames (many ) have to hook the chain up on when you take the wheel out you fitted it and you had somewhere to shift your chain to when you punctured to take the wheel off and put it back on without the chain being in the way ....... it was a pro rider thing - it never took off basically cause its bella mad - you could change a punctured wheel faster but i think you have to loose a sprocket so you are on a 5 speed instead of a 6 ? it came with a special shifter and there where campy special dropouts that came drilled to fit it it was mental and never took off and so its a rare but pointless bit of kit you should make a necklace out of it

the circled B is a bianchi mark - is there nothing else ? serial number and stamps under BB? what are the dropouts front and rear? and a some info on the fork crown (if it looks like its original) would help also

that really does sound like a looooong colnago marketing story but it was fun to read anyways
