  1. This weekend's CC fixtures are going to be crackers!! All to play for - either a semi spot or relegation at the same time for Province, Cheetahs, Griquas and Bulls.
  2. I'm assuming I can still register for the MTB on Saturday just before the event? Can't see anything that says not other than online entries are closed.
  3. Well done. Looks like a contest between you and me for the fourth spot on the log and a place in the semi's. Although Cheetahs relegation is a real prospect if they lose tomorrow against the Sharks. And the Sharks must be odds on favourites to win.
  4. http://1.1.1.3/bmi/cdn.bikehub.co.za/forum/public/style_emoticons/default/laugh.png Indeed!!! Two 29'ers is fine, but three 29'ers? Aikona.
  5. Very doable - guess total ascent counts more than km.
  6. That's quite a long ride for MTB!!
  7. Cheetahs back in the CC semis mix. Phew!
  8. Bit of a blunder in the Super Sport Preview - Keegan Daniel at 8??
  9. Frans Steyn and Coenie Oosthuizen out for Boks. Pity.
  10. Shocking red card decision against the Sharks. Die ref kroek!!!
  11. Really looking forward to the mid-field contest between Sharks and Bulls now. Real pitty Jordaan moved to wing, otherwise we would have seen four Boks in-the-making going head-to-head. I'm hoping for a Sharks win - keeps Cheetahs in the mix. But watch CJ Stander for Bulls. Great prospect too.
  12. Yes, I've heard of a similar one using cling wrap. I also had to replace bearings recently after our holiday to Eerste Rivier where we travelled about 30km max but in some of the thickest mud. Real stuff up - pun intended.
  13. CatGirl. Hoe lyk dit daai kant? Jul ook daai wolkbreek gehad vanoggend? Ons weet daar gaan baie modder wees - doenbaar en lekker of doenbaar en nes?
  14. I like it!! Key game breakers will be Goosen for backline impact and Louw at the breakdowns. Makes me sad that Brussouw's not there.
  15. I'm a firm believer in reverse osmosis. I guess my stomach isn't a permeable membrane, although there's sure low pressure and high pressure when I have those gels. Another good one to eat is the Woolies Breakfast Mix.
  16. +1. And something proper to eat - possibly with a bit of fat and/or protein. Also found that most gels didn't work very well with my stomach.
  17. Reminds me of a colleague who used to say "we'll burn that bridge before we try to cross it"!!
  18. Thanks. I think I've pretty much made up my mind already and I'll opt for both. Rear mount for regular travel to weekend events or trails, and roof mount for when we go camping or away on holiday where the destinations include a fair amount of gravel roads to get there.
  19. Almost correct, but rather mud blasted. Dirt obviously is not a problem - but mud accumulated at 80km/h for 50km is another story. On a few occasions now we've gone away where we needed to travel on dirt roads after/during rain and as a result the bikes take a severe pounding from the mud. Also, when arriving at our destination, there more often than not aren't facilities (e.g. a simple hosepipe) to get all the mud off.
  20. I agree. But he has just dropped Steyn through the bench, so we're on a bit of a roll here ...
  21. I wouldn't sub any player who's playing well, but HM has before and will again. The name Dean Greyling springs to mind. Cost us the All Black Test that did. My theory being that he wants to give Lambie game time and wants to ease Goosen into Test rugby and to vindicate the fact that Jantjies was the only sub against England in June not to get game time.
  22. I doubt Bismark will play again this year, and he certainly isn't a captain. Adriaan Strauss is the obvious choice in my opinion (and is vice-captain anyhow for Saturday). Dropping Jean and bringing in one of many youngsters must be on the cards - Lionel Mapoe (on form player if you ask me!!), Paul Jordaan and Jan Serfontein are all exciting prospects and must be in the mix soon. I wont be surprised if you see Goosen and Kirchner being substituted at the same time by Lambie and Jantjies with more than 20 minutes to go, irrespective of how they're playing or what the score is.
  23. I hadn't seen those images until now. Makes me sick and so angry. Pathetic!!
  24. We spent a Saturday on our bikes in Franschhoek a few weeks back celebrating a friend's birthday party.
