  1. The 2nd half required something more than gameplan as we were starved of possession. Lambie's has had his best games for SA and Sharks in the 15 jersey. PS: Hougaard is NOT a starting wing. Put him in the bench and bring him on as an impact player. And CJ to the rubbish dump - way past his sell by date.
  2. Indeed. He's my Springbok captain even with a fit Bismarck. Whilst Jean had a good game, it was against the Scots. We need some of our raw talent in midfield to come into contention. Although all contending for the 13 jersey if Frans Steyn is fit.
  3. Lambie is not a 10. Pure class at 15 though. Drop Kirchner and bring on Elton for Saturday.
  4. Wow. So different. Enjoy!!
  5. David. You are one of a kind. Thank you. Thank goodness. The world would be a poorer place without you.
  6. 10.5% increase from last year. mmmmmm .... It's a great event and well worth it for a more family orientated outing. Also great for first-timers wanting to tackle a stage race. Highly recommended but a case of been there, done that. There are so many choices right now and I certainly have a time and budget constraint. Dryland's Tankwa event in the Cederberg could be one to try next - they are great event organisers!!
  7. Nothing yet. I feel rejected.
  8. I'm interested. My brother-in-law has a Trail and wants to swap for Adventure. Will send you a PM.
  9. I can see where you're coming from and I acknowledge you do have a point - so let me qualify by adding "potentially". But to answer your question, moving between cars between left and right lanes where motorbikes would, and then preventing cars to safely pass on stretches without a shoulder (actually holding up traffic).
  10. So this morning I commute to town in my car during peak traffic for the first time in ages. Man, now do I understand why we are so stressed as a nation by the time we get to work. Taxis cutting in, traffic lights short timing. But why, oh why, does a cyclist have to weave in between all the traffic and then tackle that narrow section through Milnerton when there's a dedicated cycle lane for his use? To the crazy cyclist wearing Northcliff Cycles kit, you're obviously new to Cape Town and don't know about the cycle lane, or you're a fool to have single-handedly gotten under the skin of several hundred motorists. Please cyclists - use the cycle lanes during peak hour traffic! Watch me get flamed.
  11. My wife and I were on telly this evening!!
  12. He would be in my squad if he was available, but frankly wouldn't make my starting line-up. I would stil pick a fit Brussouw at 6, even before Louw. And then Schalk back, etc. ....My team is based on the squad in the UK at the moment.
  13. I wonder what public and political opinion would be if the same team was chosen by a coach of colour? But I agree. Our backline lacks imagination and penetration. Jean I'm afraid has consistently underperformed in my opinion. And in Strauss we have a more than capable replacement captain. My starting line up from the squad on tour would be as follows, with an eye on the future and bearing in mind injuries to key players: 15 Lambie 14 JP 13 De Jongh 12 Mapoe 11 Mvovo 10 Elton 9 Pienaar (v/c) 1 Beast 2 Strauss © 3 Jannie 4 Etzebeth 5 Juandre 6 Louw 7 Alberts 8 Duane
  14. Froze. Saw the bugger crossing the trail about 6 meters in front of us. Waited for it to cross and disappear into the bush. Cycled past that spot very fast. My wife was in front when she saw the snake. I had to take the lead after that.
  15. Contermanskloof I believe. Lots of snakes on the Tygerberg MTB trails at the moment. My wife and I encountered a massive Cape Cobra at Hoogekraal two weeks ago. Not lekka on that narrow single track where you can't see far in front of you - literally encounter each other at speed!!
  16. In the immortal words of Helgaard Muller (Google if you don't know who he is), "lllaaat if you show me a gggood guy, I'll sssshow you aa lllloser"!! PS: Helgaard stutters.
  17. Nothing like that New Zealand oke. Far too civilised.
  18. Good point. But somebody also stands behind an online marketing channel.
  19. It does take two to tango, not?
  20. it's like prostitution. Supply and demand. Both guilty in my opinion.
  21. Uhm - 360Life partner?
  22. I work from home in Melkbos so I mainly ride on the lanes over weekends if I'm doing LSD like we did yesterday - from my house to the dam in Koeberg (40km) and then to Wang Thai and back home (40km). 80km in all. On a black and orange Specialized Epic Comp 29er.
  23. End least not forget - make tonnes of money while you're doing it!!
  24. Why don't they all just come clean. Pun intended.
  25. The guy was in predominantly white kit. So not Cycles Direct.
