  1. it was only a matter of time
  2. without having to go thru 38 pages, can someone just briefly explain what happened here.
  3. didn't you do this a few years ago in Worcester and then you didn't have the energy to ride back to CT and they announced over the pa that you looking for a lift. how u getting back this year?
  4. agree, roll on National Seeding. ppa wont recognise a non ppa member sa champ.
  5. why you bitching about csa? PPA are the ones that seeded you, maybe the PPA don't take your csa results into account because they are not ppa events.
  6. when will mtb organisers realise that mtb is not conducive to mass participation. road have split catergories into either seeded groups or age groups, this was not done to have like for like riding together but to limit the group sizes on the road (wide open roads). you can't have the same number of participants riding on narrow farm roads and singletrack, if you do then you continue to alienate newcomers to the sport.
  7. i had 105's and the return spring went on mine aftr 2 years service in 2001 , it cost me R1 500 to buy a new set of sti's. i then bought a 2nd hand campy chorus groupset in 2002 and upgraded that in 2007. old one still going strong on my spare bike. no comparison wrt mechanical issues.
  8. buy a new one as they can't be fixed.
  9. agree with you martinhattingh, thats why i would rather deal with crc or totalcycling whose items are still in the correct wrapping than with cwc whose goodies are wrapped up in foreign newspaper (hopefully thats changed). just the way their goods are delivered gives me peace of mind when dealing with crc / totalcycling.
  10. does it matter? The other day there was a guy on here that was very disappointed because his Sram derailleur from CRC was not in it's box. You're going to toss the wrapping anyway or do you also want it as a "trophy"? no it doesn't but can someone answer the question!!!!! i like to know if i'm buying new or used goods.butafly2009-08-07 08:45:39
  11. does cwc's group sets still get delivered wrapped up in newspaper? i bought a campy chorus groupset from the uk which cost R2k less than what cwc were selling it for on their internet shop. mine came in the campy packaging etc and my lbs fitted it for me and charged R200. my only concern was whether the bb was italian or english thread. even with their guaranteed aftersales service i wouldn't buy from cwc unless the items were in original wrapping. btw - i think chris w runs a top class shop and is a credit to the sport.
  12. heard from 4 different sources that WE will be reopening again at another location (welgedacht centre near majik forest). cyclelab will takeover current premises. difficult to believe.
  13. WHAT YOU WANT TO YELL AT THEM FOR? coming thru on your left / right said in a moderate tone will get the desired move. you might just come across one of my friends who has the attitude " i paid my money, you wait" if you yell at him. and he is a big oke too.
  14. ai ai , laid back mtb'ers are so cool.

  16. can't agree more but don't you guys stop and help your members who become victims of punctures. i have helped quite a few of them stranded on the side of the road with punctures or that have been "dropped" from the bunch.
  17. its difficult to slag off a shop if you ride in their kit and ride their products

    MyRace...

i think you'r wrong there in the Masters 50+ (men) there were 15 entries, you can't go by what you saw on tv, most of what was shown, was the end of races when a lot of riders had dropped out of the race. BTW - how many riders in the ladies/master cat at Mtb Sa's????

    SA's

imho - Andrew Mcclean is a fantastic rider and will most probally win his age category hands down. but i think he is being unfair to the riders in the age category below his own by riding in their race the next day. if he needs to race twice over the weekend to justify being in Oudtshoorn then he can go and race in the 30-34 age category.
  20. The Whites are from outside of CT. the Daniels family are big **** stirrers from way back (mother included). problem is that it seems like the fathers are living their dreams through their sons. both youngsters have great potential. the fathers have a lot in common ie one-eyed, big and fat,a vuil bek and it seems racist.
  21. sterkte broer , sterkte
  22. can't understand that there are so few ladies racing.
  23. i agree, there is a serious glitch in the system and it seems to be between myrace and the CSA not the clubs.
  24. TG i'm not into mountain biking - the only time you will find me in Tokai or MF is when i take my son to play on his bike. and then we ride up the jeep tracks and down the singletracks and we keep left and pass right like most reasonable people.
  25. the show is just a plug for Cyclelab and i haven't watched it since the start of Survivor or the Amazing Race. That's how bad it is.
