    We have done it for 3 years i see on the web it is age 2 to 17. Every race the kids get a medal that is a piece of the trophy that they build. Good days fun for the little ones

    There's the Suzuki like to bike not 100% sure on age groups and distance. But my 4 year old granddaughter does the 2km MTB. They just had an event on Sunday at big Red Barn.

    You can ask the Seller to take the bike to Cycle Lab Lynnwood. They can box it and send it to CWC Cape Town. Maybe give Ruben a shout at Cycle Lab and he can inspect the bike for you then send to Bernard at CWC.

    Ok i know it's not 80s but Cycle Lab are selling a copy/reproduction for the Raleigh Burner for around 5k.

    As for salt it would be interesting to see if other hubbers can pinpoint salt as a cause of corrosion. The sweat from your body falls on your bike. I have seen it on a bike stem the bike lived on an indoor trainer.

    Galvanic corrosion is not limited to carbon on aluminum. It will happen when any dissimilar metals are in contact with each other. 6061 and 7075 could react.

    Salt and some detergents may cause corrosion. But if you haven't used anything then tough to explain. Maybe wait for the manufacturer could well be a factory fault and you score a new frame.

    The white powdery stuff in the pic is defiantly corrosion. Same as the red color that you would get from steel when rust starts.

    What started as a small paint chip could have allowed moisture to get under the paint and it started corrosion. Hi pressure wash can force water and detergent under the paint and if not rinsed off can react with the aluminum.

    Looks like galvanic corrosion . If it is a carbon frame or seat post then it could be a reaction between the carbon and aluminum. Carbon assembly paste would have limited the effects of the reaction.

    The Thule Proride 591 and 598 should fit on the Holdfast bars. The Thule wingbar should also fit on the Holdfast footpack.

    My thoughts too. I was looking for somthing for the bike's on my roof racks wen i went to Cape Town and wind was somthing i was worried about.
