  1. I guess that silvermine is Ou Kaapse Weg
  2. Remember the Carte Blanche expose? Although our Chunky was one of the targets the initial thrust of the program was about the use of drugs in South African schoolboy rugby!
  3. You aren't seeing the Mc Ewen in the mix much this year either and he is THE master at using other teams lead outs. Columbia and one or two other teams seem to have it under control from 3km - it seems more organised than last year. Last year RH always looked like he was going to get it. This year he just doesn't. Pity ...
  4. With the organisation of teams like Columbia it really is very difficult for him to get close. Did you see how many times he was near the front and then gone. Having to fight your way back 2 or 3 times will take it's toll if you can get there. Today he was badly positioned before the last corner and that was it.... finito
  5. And it won't be long before some bluetooth phones will be compatible.
  6. Linnega, do you not feel that your role of "moderator" on this forum is in conflict with your religion? You obviously are very adamant that your beliefs are the way and the only way to get to heaven. I don't take issue with that at all ... BUT This forum attracts people of many faiths (or not) that feel as strongly about their beliefs as you do about yours but which often are in conflict with yours. I suggest that you reconsider your role as moderator as I do not believe that you can retain a moderate, neutral perspective on religious issues. Your faith does not allow you to refrain from participating in defense of it which I believe is completely at odds with the function of a moderator. Note that I am not taking issue with your faith or beliefs so don't jump down my throat.
  7. You're kidding' date=' right?[/quote']I think it was a little joke.... Nope I don't think he is joking. Repeats it too often.
  8. So who are the organisers going to blame this time. The UCI again? http://www.news24.com/News24/Sport/Tour_de_France/0,,2-9-1506_2356223,00.html Windbreaker2008-07-11 12:24:45
  9. nope ... you heard wrong.
  10. TNT1 Mak-Daddy ask them to take it back and swop it for a pair of socks or a tie or something.
  11. If you use the sportstracker software the track & data can be uploaded to the internet in real time, so your buddies (or more likely your wife) can track you. You can also get a holder that fits the bars - I think that it is a RAVX
  12. Like the man said I am entitled to my opinion. And as someone else said this whole thing has left a bitter taste. It's my opinion that even now GO is stil playing with the truth. The bottom line is that he did a dirty on Popeye, lied numerous times and now apologises for "suspecting popeye". He makes absolutely no apology for hanging onto Popeye's R5k for 2 months. He makes no apology for umpteen lies and deceptions. Yet he says that we must all believe that there was more at play - insinuating that he is not entirely at fault. Some apology! Give me a break! On second thoughts I'd turn my back on a Komodo before him.
  13. Even the apology is less than straight forward and littered with justifications. You really are something else!
  14. Interesting... not a bad guestimate... Only problem with mine is that I have this one bar that shoots up to the sky' date=' says I spent 14 hours pushing 0-20w... [/quote'] Ja, we all have those. They tell me that for training that is not good but in racing the bigger that bin the the better!!. Seriously, make the bins smaller (use the big graph) and exclude zero's
  15. What does your distribution graph for the last 24 days look like? It should look a little like a single saw tooth with the concave side on the right. Where it drops off significantly is the value that you should use as an FTP value if you're not sure of it.
  16. As I have it Calfee ONLY makes bamboo bikes. The couplings can be used for any bike, tandem or half bikes and only cro-moly (again I think) It is called the SS Coupling. I think the bike is a Santana. It is a Santana. The big disk is a must if the passengers are large. They apparently went through a set of pads on the Argus with all the braking in the groups. If I remember right it also has std caliperso n the back as well.
  17. Ja maybe... Or maybe it's cause we wear Lycra and they are just to fat & fugly to wear Lycra and are jealous. Or maybe they are just jealous of our very expensive toys? Or maybe it's just that everyone is so fugging uptight on our roads that they ... .... I give up.
  18. See!!!!!!!!!!
  19. They are supposed to make that sound. Don't worry. You obviously ride your bike very fast and in the next few weeks you'll notice that it is harder to turn the steering at high speed. It is just the steering dampener mechanism starting to come into play. Like superbikes have nowadays.
  20. If you are talking about where I think then the yellow lane is easily wide enough for 2 abreast. I really wonder about the attitude that we are only allowed on the road if we are able to ensure that the inconvenience to motorists is zero. Hey bud, we have as much right to be on the road as any other vehicle. But it is all about consideration. Don't be inconsiderate - as a cyclist or a motorist. If you are holding up traffic then ride single file.
