  1. Hope it works out. The fall timing just kind of sums up 2020 though doesn't it.... I didn't know if they were going to have the event, I mean there are usually 2 or 3 thousand people running? I see they have a different route this year, and limited numbers. Good on them for still putting on something.
  2. Suunto 9 of various models are on a decent sale (less 2 or 3k) at Drifters, for the Gauteng'ers. Edit: in fact, Cape Town too

There are times when sport REALLY needs crowds. And (quali and) the race was one of those. Mig deserved a home crowd, what a ride. Really enjoyed the moto2 race, thats how season finales should always be, and I won't lie I switched off for most of gp when BB binned it, but I felt pretty uneasy watching the big bikes around that circuit, they seemed (even more so) a fraction away from a big accident ALL the time. Some of those slow-mo shots cresting the hill and diving down were just epic though. What a year for Brad, what a boytjie.

This Portimao circuit is awesome. I love the elevation changes.
  6. Sorry dude, thats a sh*t hot bike
  7. So that means you did get disks... and you'll be wrong... which means my rim brakes are safe! Excellent, thanks!
  8. Sis. How will he ever stop?!
  9. Jannie you need to try lock this thread chom. Its not going as planned !
  10. Ja I can't wait for Shimano to bring out a 10 rear, it'll make my silly compact crank a little more substantial
  11. 404's
  12. Too late. Consider yourself heavy uitgek@k
  13. Agreed, although I would have expected Uber to have put them all out of business. As far as I'm concerned uber was a game-changer for drunk driving 'excuses'. its 24/7, its instant, its cheap(ish), whereas the drive-you-homes were none of those. One of the few times I used them (because I was usually said hero back in the day) I swear the driver was more wasted than me and almost binned my car on the highway.
  14. Good fellas has been around a hundred years. There's a couple more too but I can't recall any names. These were here even pre-uber
  15. I'll never forget that chap who drove drunk into a police roadblock and killed 2 cops in Fourways. 10 grand fine for being drunk, 2 counts of culpable homicide sentenced to 6 years jail wholly suspended. Niks, nadda, f*kol repercussions. 2 lives.
  16. Didn't you just tell everyone to stop talking about broader issues?
  17. Some farms in Thailand have embraced the ducks. But, again we're just using them as tools and I shudder at thought of how they're kept for the time they're not being used. I don't agree with this practice. I just remember laughing at how excited they were to hit the paddy.
  18. What are you most excited for? that you couldn't get from all the other watches. (serious question) Edit: oh, well this was a reply to Markellis, before the threads got chopped
  19. The new Spez (the one with the cupboard door on the back) I think is as expensive as Canyon. The old Shiv was good value for money. Trek I don't think spec as highly here, they're cheap as chips, for reason. I can't remember seeing a Giant Trinity on the roads, I don't think of them as super-bikes anyway so suspect the price is too
  20. This is going to be a tough nut to crack. (At least they chose an appropriate name!) Either way its going to take a long time I reckon. A watch isn't something you buy say every year, even if this one being very well priced. I don't know how it can possibly work better than the usual suspects, I haven't read the blurb yet, but it'll need to pull some punches.
  21. I don't like the fragile look of a single riser, nor the y-shaped bars, but credit where its due - its a very clean and 'clever' looking cockpit. What I really like is how deep the front fork is, makes it look very fast. Also, some of the front on shots make them look quite wide. Its not Team GB Hope track bike wide, but I'd be interested to see it in the flesh.
  22. If you thought the classifieds would go crazy after the launch of the Spaz SL7, just wait for this one...
  23. I may have missed it, but have you chosen/bought a new frame yet?
  24. If like me, I think people are angry at the system (not necessarily the kid, but the enabling environment) for allowing it. You're right the kid has now learned a lesson, but why could they have not learned a lesson by getting arrested for 'simply' driving drunk? There are too many examples (in SA) where people end up learning a lesson at the very last step - which involves death, there should be steps before that. The problem is exactly that they got into their car not thinking about killing someone. Rule of law is not a deterrent because it's not enforced. The only deterrent we have left is human life, after the fact.
  25. Not directed at Mr Savage, but maybe the FB post is fake(?)
