  1. Thats cake...
  2. Wide feet rejoice! They are here!
  3. We also started with an experiment - the exact as you with asking what could the health benefits be. We found the intangible 'moral' aspects just kind of grew quietly in the background the longer we stuck with it. Its been an interesting shift. And I agree 1000% with your last statement - as soon as you feel hard done by then it becomes unsustainable. Thats cool, I look forward to later feedback
  4. Wow, good job. Was there anything easier or more difficult going full vegan than you had first thought 9 days ago? Edit: apart from the peeing, thats a stunning victory
  5. Those are some funky handlebars. Very cool
  6. The reading I've done is quite varied. Some seem have the opposite to what I'm personally experiencing . I'll stick with the chest strap I reckon for as much as possible . If for nothing else the wrist HR lags are very irritating.
  7. Whenever I see a crazy sunrise or anything really thats cool on the road, I wish I had a baby camera built into my watch.

Mir just gets better and better, it's incredible Decent effort Brad, good push last couple laps
  9. I see your 32 and raise you a 34. One tonner this morning in a hot and little too windy Cradle. I suffered. Big time.
  10. That helmet is the best thing I've ever seen! Being an adult is kek
  11. Have to mention Dan Grieb, the guide. Is there anything more rewarding than being a guide in these races, or any race. What an incredible man.
  12. Normal shoes, flat standard pedals. Chilled commuter looking bike! Crushes an 8 hour bike leg. I just can't.
  13. Like. A. Boss. 16:46
  14. I didn't see your bike pic here, that's a great solution, mainly because you don't lose a bottle cage to the box taking up space. Very cool, I may look that one up.
  15. Chris Nikic is currently en route to become the first person with down syndrome to complete an ironman. (IM Florida) Awesome stuff. Live Results Today for Chris Nikic in the IRONMAN® Florida | IRONMAN® 70.3® Gulf Coast. Check it out! https://rtrt.me/2114/track/R8ETN34Y
  16. I'd also love to know what the nedbank, Murray's, etc people get. To be honest when I first opened the link I thought this was going to be an influencer type sponsorship, and that's just my bad assumption on the brand I suppose. And why I said the times were very ambitious. Good for them though. We have enough talent in this country, maybe an extra dangling carrot will be a small catalyst.
  17. I've seen these arm things on Instagram pics , that's interesting. May be worth a go if I come across one, chest straps have always felt awkward to me.
  18. It's very much elite. That's top 10 ladies from comrades, and top 10 ladies from Cape Town marathon. Half of which were not even south african Esit: looked at an averagely attended joburg race - Johnson crane. no men and no woman ran the UA 21km times, and no woman and 1 guy ran the 42 times.
  19. Ja those 'qualifier' times are super realistic ????
  20. I feel like this is a silly question, but... Has anyone else noticed or heard of heart rate being different between wrist measured, and chest strap? I used my chest strap today and was pretty sure my rate was 7 or 8 bpm less for the speed and perceived effort compared to previous runs.
  21. Can you ride a tandem alone?
  22. It's actually not a bad point. I k@kked like a beast when I stopped eating meat. It made me wonder where and why all this stuff was hanging around inside. One of the biggest differences I felt was very much a lightness. No jokes. I suppose that applies just as literally here... ????????‍♂️
  23. Damn, sorry There will always be races around (well.... after covid, but you know what I mean), but theres only one of you, take it easy and look after yourself
  24. Set my trainer difficulty to max today. The hills now feel like work, and more noticeably the downhills feels like downhills. Did a short KOM that I'd done recently and was 2 secs faster, so despite all the resistance trickery it really does equate to pretty much exactly the the same 'game' output.
  25. Formula E? Or will he be so far in pole they'll have to make a separate starting position for him?
