  1. Very cool. Pls report back once you've tried it out.
  2. Heres the Oltre. grief its good looking
  3. I was just looking for somewhere to post this pic! See they've broken out the disk brake XR4. I like this colourway too.
  4. Northcliff Cycles is not that far either. They're a good bunch of dudes. Granted I haven't had serious bike work done there, have only popped in many times to buy the odd thing, plus a lekker chat. Re LBS, I don't know, there are a lot of excuses in the world, especially in 2020, but at the end of the day its up to you how many you want to entertain on good faith. Thereafter you're only 'hurting' yourself.
  5. Wedding and promotion (and potentially some drive to kick off training again) - 2020 for the win! Congrats
  6. This is the drag racing bike of balance bikes. That back wheel is way out there.
  7. Matt. Its time. Close the forums. No more of this.
  8. Oh you're quite right, I was only looking through the drop down options
  9. 'Under the editorship of Lance Branquinho, ride24 is a fresh new site...' 'His background includes working for well-known publications such as ... Bikehub, ...' Hmmm, whats going on here...
  10. Its not anywhere actually. I can't see 'site announcements' nor 'help desk' under any forum headings
  11. This site has been incredibly slow to respond today - I'm worried one of these refreshes the forums will be outta here...
  12. Does anyone else now think twice about a causal classifieds browse because you know its making the forums no's look worse!? haha
  13. Wow!
  14. I think these lists also exclude the off-topic section. Running is under riding - multisport.
  15. I'm surprised how often mybroadband has come up. (not just this thread but in the past too) The 4x4 one too but I assume is quite specialised, although I've never looked. I can't believe people are part of multiple *off-topic* forums, thats a lot of energy to give to going-nowhere-arguments - BH alone often defeats me...
  16. People will obviously leave. A while back there was that I'm a fraud or something along those lines thread. Myself included are just here for a handful of off topic threads, and not necessarily much cycling related. I mean I'm not going to try and steer a GP5000 vs gatorskin thread so I can talk about US elections or what happened in the news today. I agree there will be some drifting in topics, although I assume no more than there already is. But my guess is a bunch of people will just stop stopping by here. We have learned though that there's not that many of them. So ja...
  17. I'm sure its a vitamin or mineral deficiency. Maybe your recovery food and plans are the culprit. Cramps depending on which science you read can come from either dehydration and therefore low sodium, mag etc levels, or, from good old fatigue and the muscles just freaking out because they can't function correctly under the continued load. Either of these can happen in your longer rides, but again I think there is something odd going on when you cramp so early on while 'fresh'. So maybe you're starting on a bad playing field and recovery from your prior ride is something to look at. Dunno man, trial and error usually sorts these things out. But maybe worth while grabbing a test when you're next near your doc.
  18. I think thats the whole point. It's doubling up the time usage by monitoring and dealing with said bad apples in both classifieds and forums. So the view is to reduce the non-income irritation and focus on the classifieds. Long term strategy.
  19. 5kms... theres something wrong other than potentially a bike fit. Thats very quick. I'd get to a doc and get some blood taken or I don't know what other kind of screening tests there are, it sounds like something is def missing. Edit: Are you sure its cramping and not a 'dead leg'? maybe you have a very unfortunately placed nerve for a cycling setup (apologies for condescending sounding question)
  20. Maybe. I first thought of cost. But I have no idea of the cost comparison between a 70.3 and full IM so maybe that holds no ground.
  21. It is, which is weird. The mail says, because of govt restrictions EL will continue but at a reduced number, and then because of the same govt restrictions IM PE will not happen at all. Wait, what? Durbs and Bela bela continue as is.
  22. (you haven't mentioned so I'm going to assume ...) You're lucky you didn't bust out a tooth or 4
  23. Wow! they called it already. hectic bru
  24. I think he ignored you because you keep butchering his name sorry, had to.
