  1. Had tried that, mixed results with that method
  2. Would make sense, the Eliminators that I am ridding now I can seat with a HV floor pump, no tank required, the back one the other hand needs 2 people, but I blame the dents in the rim for that one. Lol Internal width on the rim could even a factor I guess. On my stands crest the giant was again useless there, I could however blow the Forekaster off the rim with the floor pump again. It probably is just useless, or I’m useless.
  3. I plan on replying my 5X with Apple, more likely the series 7 or 8, once this one dies. No point replacing a working watch, in my case.
  4. That also depends on the tyre, I use big beefy tires so I start keeping an eye on handling once the gaps in the lugs themselves are no longer there and the corners are about to fall off. Then I’ll buy a tyre to keep around for the inevitable day. However from what I have heard the different tires and different brands can vary wildly with that. Apparently there is this super awesome swalbe tire that gives zero warning, it either grips like a demon or is a road tyre, there is apparently nothing in between.
  5. Some hike-a-bike at conties during the Enduro. Such a lekker day, weather played along nicely More: https://www.instagram.com/p/CH5S-NtHX3l
  6. It is however considerably more to cover single items, you loose out on the cross subsidy discount. So my expensive bike (80k) would end up being 314, pretty much the same as JaSure as a single item.
  7. I know, still falls in with content cover, just specified high value items, the specified makes up most of my cover. 179 is the bikes portion of my cover.
  8. The problem is people don’t fully understand how insurance works, and I have seen it on a forum thread discussing JaSure, the person assumed the bikes were still “automatically” covered at home under general content cove and JaSure was only for when you left the house. Not realizing that high value portables need to be specified regardless. I was always one who read everything I signed, never took policies over the phone until after I read the policy docs. I even spent 2 years working in insurance systems development and that’s when you really learn the ins and outs. Like how many people notify their insurer or broker when they get a new phone, someone mugs you in the parking lot your SOL. That phones not covered unless your broker replies with confirmation or your finished your call with your direct provider and who the hell does that in the shop. That is why I chose Naked, I have an understanding that most do not as to how the business works, how they are able to offer such low premiums and excesses, where they are saving costs and adding value. I got my new iPad today, it was insured before I got to the door.
  9. A full month was over 300, almost double what I am paying for both an the excess on the expensive bike would have been almost 5x. But if I am going to pay more there needs to be considerably more value than a pause button.
  10. I looked at them, they came back at like 126 for 1 bike for 1 day. I lol’d
  11. Naked (Hollard), as part of my content cover.
  12. 2 bikes, full cover with 1.5k excess at 179pm for 120k value.
  13. And she cost how many bars?
  14. Are the torque settings not marked in the bolts, all my previous bikes had them there. And no, you cannot assume all others will use the same settings, my last bike was 14 and 10. Current one is 40 and 15.
  15. I was very unimpressed with the FiveTens, had to replace them in like 5 or 6 months as they were worn through.l, by which point the supplier refused to honor the warranty.
  16. Been waiting for these for a while, the Ions have been getting a bit loose in the tooth, they will be migrated to daily shoes.
  17. Nothing works with Strava anymore, remember they took Bluetooth support out because that goes counter to stravabook
  18. Took too long for them to get locally, but Amazon shipped ended up being cheaper anyway.
  19. Nope, just found it less suitable than I would have liked. Mine where never noisy, I had 2 of them. My current solution is just more cost effective, no need to have 2 full sets of everything. The expensive stuff can simply move from bike to bike, but each one can have all their cheap stuff. I found “hiding” things away easier and neater with straps.
  20. I ended up taking my rails off, I have my spare tube, slugs and plug in a strap on the seat tube. Tools are strapped to the down tube. Got the giant clutch to stash a co2 in the head tube. Hand pump in the hip bag. With enough time and money, you can get almost everything nearly on a bike.
  21. I use the finish line ceramic in winter, but their wax line is either really *** or I got a dud bottle.
  22. Can’t say I spend much time smelling my line. The light novelty wore off for me half way though the first chain. Their normal dry line keeps it just as quiet. But hey, what’s important is it works. We do spend silly amounts of money on our bikes, who really cares on what. Hell I have a Fidlock in transit. Lol
  23. I never saw any benefits of that over their normal dry lube, and at twice the price for half the quantity.
