I'm leaning towards the RD going into the spokes... I had a wheel look very similar to this when it happened to me...

I have been wandering about this for a while. The whole carbon system looks cool and all, but I was thinking of a more generic approach with timing belts from card. There are various standards with various sizes and all the strength etc are given. The only disadvantage if these is that the cogs have no place for stones etc to go if they get caught in there where the carbon system does not crush stuff. With regard to splitting the frame. I have decided that the simplest would be to get one with back strut cross section which is as circular as possible and taking a hack saw to it and making an insert that is then bolted in place when the belt in in. The last problem is the cogs then and I still want to do a quick calc to see if I can 3D print it, otherwise use up some of my points on the CNC. On a side note, there used to be emergency fan belts that could be split and joined, only problem is that they were friction belts. If there was enough interest I think somebody could adapt it to be similar to a timing belt setup.

75kg Position: Back, but not over the saddle Tyres: Crossmark- around 2bar or more. Wheels: Mavic Crosstrail. True as far as I can tell. Shock: Axon Air. Don't see how it can be the shock as it happens on smooth roads too, ie where the shock isn't moving (What I can see). As far as I can tell it is simply the wheel not having grip and sliding- maybe I am expecting too much?

So I have a problem whilst going downhill- The front wheel tends to not stay under the bike much, i.e. it is very keen to slide sideways. I don't enjoy the feeling and don't think it should be. Question is, other than the tyre choice, what influenced this? It is purely the head angle? Shock setting? I am guessing it is a combination of things, but which one would be the easiest to change?

If you get it wrong or under certain conditions it works too well and it is nearly impossible to get the bolt out. Especially bad if it gets old and hard- then it works more like glue. It is also very dependant on how much you put on and most people put waaaay too much and the bold won't leave the hole again, except on the end of a drill...

Hi Hub Any ideas other than the awesome and expensive thule bags. I am specifically looking at the 40L duffle and 32L cross over? Whatever happened to that group/idea? If you don't know what this is about then it is clearly not for you...

Beware of loctite, it is stuff made for people who can't assemble stuff properly or for use on stuff that wasn't designed properly in the fist place...

Wow, kudos to the bus driver. I had a vaguely similar experience, but all I know is when I woke up the guy next to me had grabbed my leg and it felt like the bus was going to tip over... It was cold raining and on a roadworks section. When I woke up I didn't know what was more scary, the guy grabbing my leg or the tipping feeling. Anyway, he let go when he woke up too.

My dad got a nokia with a bluetooth HRM in the box. It is a polar and says nokia on it, but it works with my droid... Battery life isn't that great with the bluetooth though
