  1. Something that also helps with stuck things like this is a hammer... serious... If you are able to hit the allen key to provide a shock to the offending tight item it often does the trick and the shock has less chance of stripping it. I've found the hard way that when you get a bar and pull for all you're worth is the time it strips. Kudos on the allen key though... i have a few similar custom tools for my silly french car.
  2. anybody find any news on what happened yesterday... he was leading by 9 min for the stage and then finished 9min behind...? no tweets yet... Up to second now... can the mini hold on???
  3. If you are going to ride on the wrong side then you can see what is coming and can move over into the absence of oncoming traffic to give the right space... if there is no space then you should stop... my 2c
  4. Has happened to me too... I was running and she came for my shins, beak first... Then I noticed her chicks on the other side of me... Everybody always laughs at me when I tell the story so I feel your pain man.
  5. Who was the guy who had some pointing up at himself from the stem and then had the trigger under the saddle or something and used it on some guy as he mugged the bike and started riding... He picked up his bike a few meters later and kept on going...
  6. Looks like it's survival out there... Good day... only 4 min behind leaders on stage... 33min adrift now... Sit and wait for the mistakes. Pity Gordan rolled.
  7. Ok, so it seems I'm not lucky enough to have friends in the states at the moment... can anybody organise me one? pretty please...
  8. So nobody has it and there is a form on Ominco's website that says they can get one to your local shop when they arrive, but no hints as to when that might be... Can anybody shed some light on the matter? I see the UK is in a similar situation...
  9. Yeah, seems like the followed the bike tracks a bit, pity... If he can pull that back it will be amazing, but he has more car tracks to follow now, so should be easier.
  10. I hope the Honda's can give the KTM's a bit of competition... Make it interesting- Coma vs Depres was getting a bit boring. Also like to see the hummer up there as Gordan is the only one wirth listening to in the pits... He asked if the mini's were pink this year cause they all have girls driving them.... haha.
  11. Also, if one were to sweat in the cardboard it would go soggy... Then again, it would make a very nice fit if went soggy once and then it would be like a custom fitted helmet...
  12. Let's have them, with a link if possible... My nomination: Eldron's story... Will start a poll in due course... Oh, box of smarties for the winner... blue smarties.
  13. That's unfortunate
  14. Octavian your avatar freaks me out... Brrrrr
  15. Whoop Whoop... Less beach time this time round boys... Maybe be more focussed for the next one...
  16. Wish I was watching this... I'm shaking just from reading tweets...
  17. The guys at Bruce did one for the old man... it had quite headset on it... sure you could go and ask them.
  18. I've found it depends a lot on where in the field you are in a race... At the frontish nobody stops much unless somebody fell their face off but at the back it is much more relaxed... This has led me to not stopping when I'm trying to go fast but when I'm riding with someone at the back then its a different story...
  19. Besides all the other stuff I think they look super sweet:
  20. So just when you thought you had all the bling you could ever need... $150odd for a set... http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kettlecycles/siccc-bicycle-brake-rotor-silicon-carbide-ceramic?ref=popular Blurb: What is SiCCC? SiCCC, is a Silicon Carbide, Ceramic, and Carbon fiber braking material developed specifically for cycling. Our goal from the start was to create a more reliable, better wearing, lighter weight brake rotor. Silicon Carbide for friction, Ceramic for heat, and Carbon fiber for strength. The SiCCC disc rotor braking surface provides a level of power and progressive feel that equals or surpasses the best conventional rotors. The progressive power is excellent; not much lever effort is required, and the response is quick but not over-the-bar grabby by any means. The SiCCC disc rotor braking surface is a non-metallic composite and it is thermally inert, meaning it doesn’t expand and contract as all metal rotors do. There is no heat-induced stress distortion on the disc. This performance is available instantly: no warm-up needed. Hot or cold. Wet or dry. All of this and a serious weight reduction. This can translate into improved suspension performance due to less inertia and handling at speed by reducing gyroscopic effect. The average rider noticing this science at play is debated, the joy of a turkey-gobble free bike that is also lighter is undeniable.
  21. Supposing that your theory could work it would have to be some music with a pitch that would excite the resonance of the super glue which is going to be quite low Im guessing... possibly something an earphone couldn't play... Some sort of sonic treatment might work, but I'm wagering on some non-normal speakers and stuff.
  22. Didn't we have a Joy a while ago... I seem to remember getting a reply... Makes me think of that stat...every 3 seconds somebody gets scammed on the internet... that somebody is Michael Scott
  23. Bikes don't need decals...
  24. Does anybody know how the cycle lanes got started in CT? I would love some up here on the highveld and in places they are really needed, so anybody got the guide to getting cycle lanes?
  25. They have a lot more motivation to suffer up a hill and will choose one that will get them up quickest, whilst the average Joe will revert to an easier one if the motivation isn't there.
