  1. Apparently the tabloids have been playing the chokers card to a large extent. If ever there was a time to prove them wrong this would be it.

  3. What makes it exciting? Is there a dirt jump simulator? or even better... the real thing? If this is your shop I don't know if advertising it in your first post is the best idea... maybe ask for suggestions... there are always lots of those going around.
  4. Didn't think that counted as a sport... well not for the customer anyway...
  5. Flat mate and I used to calculate everything to cost per minute... If we exclude all the kit involved with separate sports and just look at the cost of the day out the following few come up: Golf: R0.60 per minute. Bike Race: R 1.10 Running Race: R 0.40 Ride a park (Groenies etc) R 0.13 Movie (Ster kinekor): R 0.46 Driving Range: R 0.50 etc
  6. Haha, fixie- just because. 3 that go.
  7. That is so true... so many pranks involve somebody being targeted and they don't get to laugh or have to suffer so something... this is just good clean fun! Awesome!

  9. I remember watching an episode of QI where they discussed why a bicycle stays upright and all the normal gyro arguments etc were thrown around and Fry said that the exact reason for it staying upright is not known. Googling this now hasn't yielded much, but it seemed believable at the time.
  10. My favourite... Mielie bread: 1 can sweet cord 500ml self raising flour 250ml milk Mix and in bread bad in oven at 180 till its done though... about 45min depending on oven... Eat fresh and hot with butter or toast the next day and have with marmite...
  11. I see citymob has some of the following: http://citymob.co.za/sale/870/bicycle-graphic-electro-led-fixtures Anybody tried them? Look kinda cool
  12. The canvas actually split and with a big bang the air left- thus the repair. Granted they were at 4 bar.
  13. I went riding at Groenies when they were quite smooth like this and was amazed at how well they handled- granted it was only on the back wheel, but only spun out once or twice on the SS. I have learned to corner using the brakes and weight on one side, but very difficult to get low down like that. Recon I got about 2.5k km out of them, could have got more, but at some point I really just wanted to know where the rubber stopped and what happened then.
  14. So its a little project I've been working on... http://i.imgur.com/sYfDQzm.jpg It was all going well and then I over cooked it one day and it split... repair lasted a while... http://i.imgur.com/Nl1M1Hc.jpg
  15. Those falls are awesome... We were there in the snow one year- chili but still spectacular. Did you ride there from Ramabanta?

  25. Haha, I've had similar occurrences with my dad. So you swear by the copper slip grease stuff? I've never used it my self, but have hear many people talk about it. I use some stuff called pinky's- which is silver assembly grease and really like that...
