  1. Great idea, but people don't have money to keep coughing up 10k per arrest. Catch 15 muggers, who's putting up that money consistently over and over. The landscape unfortunately lends its way to muggers, 1 gets caught, the other one takes their place and repeat.
  2. Cape Epic - the gold standard for complete insecure clowns who think everyone who has not ridden it is not a real mountain biker or cyclist and has no technical knowledge and experience. makes sense a “epic” rider helped with this sale, when you happy to pay 100k to sleep in a tent you will be happy to pay 10k + plus over price for a bike.
  3. No, it was the 1 before that one
  4. The 1 thing I have always felt strongly on with the classified is that if someone is selling a bike for example for 30k and it may be worth 20, its no one else’s business to tell them it’s not worth it unless they ask for info. This was a thing long Ago on the hub. my reasoning is that no one knows why they selling it, could be purely cause they want a new bike or that they need to sell it for their daughters cancer treatment. It can be personal. My 2c
  5. IF you were not emotional and IF you were just asking if this is the norm you would think it would be just that, a question. “Hi Hubbers, I got offered 15k on my bike which I advertised for 30k, is this normal?” however, you got into precise detail and use the persons name as if you calling him / her out and wanting to make a point. Almost shamefully like telling on someone to the teacher. Then you want the topic locked cause you over it cause people have not agreed with you? Sounds emotional to me.
  6. People or a buyer can offer whatever they want or seen the bike is worth to them. It’s up to you as the seller to accept it or not. I don’t think pointing the person out on here is right cause he made an offer you got emotional about. If you don’t ask, you don’t get. Time will tell wether you sell at your price or wether 15k less was the better deal.
  7. Looks like they bred a Cervelo and a old Felt
  8. One can understand that but then it would be best to understand the overall level in World Tour and how deep it goes.
  9. Or having to be a domestique when you can ride for yourself and have a jol doing it
  10. Or he doesn’t want to go Pro Tour cause it limits then what he wants to do racing wise which is MTB and Gravel while making more than most WT in a year payment wise. Which case it’s understandable
  11. Cause he is living the dream doing what he is doing now
  12. No I meant the chain to the group he was in snapped when he was stuck behind in the single track
  13. 363TSS .76IF He was the 1st none world tour Pro in the results in 17th. Not sure what that actually means to you all but that shows the level Matt is. Add in a slightly harder climbing route like say Strada type the gap would be even bigger back. Got in a early break with Cort and Lopez which was good but technical killed the flow so it was brought back. Rolled well Got stuck behind a very good world tour roadie in the single track and the chain broke to the front pack and he saw a higher overall result slip away Overall considered he is happy with the result
  14. Ignore post.
  15. Roads are super narrow with lots of change in direction, positioning will be key and vitally important. Place wrong and you off in a hurry regardless of strength on the bike. Much like racing a Belgium classic.
  16. They can also re-name it "Bike path world champs" looking at the parcours
  17. Strain gauge is damaged and needs tj be replaced as a unit. Unless you pushing about 4000w it will always show zero
  18. I didn’t say or think she was; I just added info as reference. Last year she was 9.5min down, this year 15min down on the winner. I agree and have always said you need experience but that to me is not world championships. Go race elsewhere, see how you go, get that experience but don’t use worlds for that. This is not directed at Hayley, this is just in general for any athlete.
  19. She was dropped on Mt Keira (Ladies rode this at 4.3wkg / 19:30min / 1230VAM) and came back with some other ladies after a solid chase and was mostly at the back of the peloton. Yes, she was at the back when the crash happened with many others who easily rode back to the group. The girl who crashed rode back there was no panic there.
  20. I was asked in Feb to join the Australian Team Staff for the Mixed TTT project and help out with the iTT for the event alongside the gentleman handling that. As reference, the process, training, rider selection, data analysis, rider profile and meetings process over 6 odd months to get to the race day was really impressive. This is only for a Mixed TTT event. Yes, there were some limitations due to the even being the other side of the world but the protocols is how things should be within a federation, this is not about money as no money had been spent until the point of final team selection. Yes sure money does then get into the picture as my flights, accommodation, day rate and prize money is paid for and being paid over from the results obtained but that is an add on from the pathway to there. Being at the event and watching how this team of staff operate, was no different to being in UAE Team Emirates at any race. This also costs nothing to add structure and approach qualified and capable staff to execute their specific duties well. The costs then come after possibly as knowledge and skill does cost money. I understand this. it can be done from CSA and there are staff around the world to fill these roles well but it will need to come from CSA and get them out their old way of doing things that I am sorry to say don't work. History has proven this. I am a South African in a Australian National team, when I asked why it was told simply I was the best person they felt for the job. Simple. So staff need to be qualified, not always a Nationality. To send an athlete just because is not right, Australia did not have a U23 male rider who could finish top 10 in the TT. They did not send them, they took some backlash as its the home country and there would be no major expense but they weren't there to just send someone who will fill a spot. I completely understood that. this is also how it should be done. When I saw the South Africans at the event, it does hit home, well for me it does and I did go over and say Hi whenever I could or add my small 2c in. It was great but to improve you have to be open to possible criticism and be open to and accept things are correct and make the changes. Until that happens, nothing changes. Sorry this landed up a long 2c.
  21. Went to the SA tent now to say hi and send well wishes. Only Ash was there warming up with Carl and Alisdair. Hope she goes well.
  22. After doing recon here my top 3 picks Hayter Evenpoel Kung
  23. Additionally remember IF this is a contamination issue, he will need to find where the contamination came from by testing for example nutritional products he has been using, this alone takes time. He would also do this way before requesting a B sample or admitting guilt. If for example this is a blood passport issue or similar, the athlete has all right to have a expert of their choice in that field look at the results and provide info. this also takes time. So there are a few reasons why these are not open and shut cases.
  24. Work: Management finds the stolen pencils in your desk Testing: WADA finds a banned substance in your system Work: Hearing / called into the office to explain Testing: Same deal you present the case Work: Provide evidence you did not steal Testing: Provide B sample or contaminated product Work: We only found some pencils that were stolen not all of them Testing: Below threshold value of said product Does that mean you did or did not have wrong doing.
  25. I wonder if car forums have "Why Do I See So Many drivers Without seatbelts?
