  5. Welcome OMG...nice to have you here
  6. good post
  7. Ja indeed, suspect there was something wrong with that sworks enduro. Did a lap, took it back and swopped it out for the fatty they had there, that was awesome though. Can't comment on pat's design thoughts and in all honesty, doesn't matter to me. One test ride and its a yay or nay.
  8. Cool, I prefer to buy bikes I have ridden...not what they do on paper. Tested the following 1. Sworks Enduro 29'er. Spez test day at avianto. Horrible, maybe there was something wrong with shock but the suspension blew through the travel even though sag and rebound was setup. Anyhow first impressions last. Felt like the bike was confused ito what it is. Pretty and light though. 2.Giant Reign...Awesome bike..can't fault performance, just didn't turn me on. 3.Pascoe...Rode one, expected a heavy oompa loompa. Turned out to be the most fun, bought one Hardly blind china, Pyga has been getting stunning reviews all over, notably MBUK which lets face it can rip your gear to shreds if its hond. Each to their own.
  9. yahtzee.....squat and jack...regularly confused. Love how someone can be a expert without putting momentum in the equation.
  10. can't say...haven't been on one, see what I did there
  11. Aaaaaaargh, now why did you have to go an plant that seed
  12. agreed, armchair engineers...got to love it. If I can afford bike 5, I would go stage max above everything else in the market right now.
  13. I check now they removed pat's signature from the top tube...heck that was the bike's no1 selling point. Pity
  14. that deserves a bad rating in my books...
  15. good enough for cedric, good enough for us hey
  16. yoh nice, but that linkage....need a phd to service it I am sure
  17. ja nee, mooi bly mooi...but my wife will blixem me twice and file divorce if I pitch with that thing... So only moered me once with the pyga
  18. stuur hom in sy moer in...tell him you no longer want to sell it to him.
  19. Mmmm, I am just going to say it. Not the best idea. Even though I am a fan of steel, it's elasticity doesn't make this a great choice even though the intentions are good. Have ovalized 2 steel rings in the past thinking I am clever because steel is mos strong. Alu is still top choice here.
  20. kekeke grapgat...I like it. There I said it. Surely enduro bikes need to be slightly on the silly side to make sense, so to speak.
  21. love it!
  22. same here, jis they have a lbs on premises...bit dusty, still a total gas though, first rains will Mae it beaut
  23. Oom, its a beast, look it's not made for gravel travel, but it's right at home in the Magalies, climbs lekka too, will never be hard tail speed on the ups, but the traction makes those baby heads easier....just sit and spin....
  24. Top of daggapad, loved life today
  25. ooo the dreaded click-clack. Could be loads of things. Eliminate the easiest and the one that will cost the least to replace...start with saddle, remove, clean rails and fit..does it make a noise when you stand. Then chainring bolts...undo clean and tighten. pedals...undo clean. If the noise comes from the rear suspension its probably the bushings...see if you can clean that and refit. Still an issue...linkages.
