  1. Thanks - Appreciated.
  2. I'm going to Mankele tomorrow, camping for a week. Does anyone know where I can possible get the different Mankele tracks to load onto my Garmin705?
  3. Hi Chris, will be great if you can find out and let me know. Maybe that 155kg guy is now 95 and might want to get rid of the rig. Also his input on his challenges adn successes might add some valuable insight. Cheers
  4. Thanks Chris, IK, the walking suggestion is good, and I'll take it up with him. Going uphill might be a problem. Coming down that same hill... need BIG BIEG Brakes
  5. THanks Thumper, it was in Bicycling, but it's an USA article, and he had his frames built specially. I dont know any frame-builders in RSA (personally that is ). I know that Silverback and Morewood are RSA designed, and there are two guys in Cape Town who is starting up a BMX bike (this month's Ride magazine). I'll try to get hold of them eventually, just thought i'll check on the hub's experience and input first. Tx
  6. I have a fried who is seriously overweight, and he wants to start cycling in order to lose weight. His current weight is 184kg which is over the limitations of most bike frames... Can anyone suggest where to start with this? Suggested Bike-frames, wheels, and any input from anyone who have experience on this
  7. An added effect to remember and control is that insulin resistance is higher in the morning than other times of the day. Add to this the exercise - if strenuous, it will elevate your sugars. If the exercise times are short, there is not enough stress to actually move your body to the region where it becomes more sensitive to insulin. I had teh same problem for long time (I was using basal/bolus like you). I'm not on a pump, and therefore set my pump to cater for exercise times and requirements, makes it much easier - but still sometimes things just dont work like they are supposed to.
  8. Be careful for the ostriches!! They've got two chicks and are aggressive. The male made a mock-charge on me this morning. Nearly Sh*t myself!!
  9. I'm going to a "Kermis" in the Excelsior region (close to Winburg) this weekend, and may have some time on Sunday morning for a ride. Can anyone refer me to a route or riders in the area for a MTB excursion? Would like to test new ground and make new friends. Regards
  10. Go here and get the manuals... http://www.sram.com/en/service/sram/tech_manuals.php
  11. Jip, hot topic. I would have liked Contador to wait, so that they could fight it out like men. But then again, when we race, each one is racing on his own (SRAM) bike, which is part of the parcel. If it fails, you cannot wait for the other one. Would have been better for Contador to not attack, but just cycle on until Andy got going. As it is, he was showing some panic stations, and work to get the most out of the other's misfortune. And if it happens tommorrow to Contador, I promise you, Andy will not fall back and wait. Like someone said, bring the popcorn...
  12. Chris, guys like you give me hope! Awesome to you. May it be returned 100fold!!
  13. Dis net soos krieket, waar die ouens wat uit is nou speel, en die ouens wat nou in is, eintlik al uit is...
  14. Why do you say this Johan?
  15. This is scary! Did you report this to the police?
  16. AWESOME!! It's raining in Pretoria today - has been since yesterday...
  17. What is push?
  18. Does not matter on where on the spoke. Set it so that the magnet and sensor is close enough to work consistently. Work out your sensor wheel size manually and set that into the meter - will be the most accurate. Cheers
  19. So how did it go??
  20. But to be fair, you cannot expect a guy to put a long ladder in his 7-series... might damage the seats
  21. Yeah, Groenies is the best in pta - affordable, enjoyable and just plain great for the family.
  22. According to Cyclelab comments I heard during a ride, they are the best option at the moment. Must say, my car claims went flawless. I support Outsurance.
  23. Hi Works 100%. Just do a hard reset as described above and when asked to overwrite user data, choose yes. You have set it again for Metric, and reset your home position. But i've not lost any personal data (although it is always best to back up...) Cheers
  24. I need to take my Vit-Gmins (Vitamins) otherwise I get Babb(ela)as . Thanks Dirt-Rider
  25. Had (have) the same problem. They told me to do a hard reset (hold in the menu button and switch on) and then confirm to overwrite all user data. I did last night, (it kept my courses and history) so it was OK. Will test it again and let you know if it works Cheers
