    Ronniiieeee! The original SuperSwede!
  2. Quick question for all you pro's. I've added SportsDevil and another sport addon, but cannot seem to find any sports I'm really interested in. From where do you guys stream stuff like Cycling (other than RB tv), F1, MotoGP and rugby?

Much prefer that to the "halo" ideas.

    WHAT a ride by Binder!

Hahaha, talk about ruining him for good - team him up with the one guy that made riding a Ducati look like an advantage...
  6. I ran the Jonkers Mountain Challenge (trail run) - ended up being my first DNF as a runner. Simply not recovered enough after being in hospital with a tummy bug last week after FireRun, having started that bugger without realising I was ill. Next for me actually a road run - Safari Half in 2 weeks. But first, some rest - I think the body is just starting to complain too much. Time to listen...

Much of it was helped by the safety car. Why they did not deploy it several laps earlier though, I won't understand. Cue a new rule: random safety car deployments at the discretion of Bernie. Other than that - interesting to see nobody really got the softs (yellow) hooked up, but for the Ferrari's and Nico - but maybe his was just a case of not being under any pressure, so cruise and smile.

They must just ehhhrrr... make the start-line, for starters! See the weather may also be interesting over the course of the weekend, so let's see.

...and Aragon. Unreal stat, saw that when they highlighted it last year, and even when he wasn't competitive as the previous years, he still smoked in the States. Weren't those 10 wins not in MotoGP only? AFAIK he's unbeaten there in any class. But will go verify that later.

Just imagine how the British commentators will talk up in anticipation of his "epic drive through the field"... from 6/7th.
  11. In general it would work. But some straps are notorious to temporarily funk out and spike with static, electrical cables or when the batteries are about to die. Then you sit with a max HR of 240... (or whatever)
  12. Haven't even run with my "funky socks" yet... got it for some longer training runs due to my recurring calf niggle. Also - I got the sleeves to be able to wear socks of choice. But funnily enough, those were the exact terms my buddy used when advising me on compression - don't get the Nike or such stuff. I was between CompressSport and the 2XU at the expo and in the end went for CompressSport, purely because the correct size one in 2XU cut into my ankle and Achilles area lightly and I know that will become an issue when running, even if it's hardly noticeable when standing around. Haha, and yes, that was my thoughts exactly! Heck, this is expensive... till I realised that's hardly more than a session or two on the pain bench - and it NEVER ends at just a session or two!
  13. Thanks shaper, I actually thought as much... but was hoping against hope that I may have missed something. So basically as I understand it I have to watch it live or otherwise hope to find a feed similar to series and movies which will have a "vault" of past events or highlights. Will still scratch around, though. Sure to shout if I do stumble across something.
  14. Okay, KODI noob... be patient.... I've opbtained a KODI pre-installed android device. Before using that, to get used to it, I installed KODI on PC and started playing around. I have some add-ons, I have the FTV EPG. BUT... one serious question. How the heck do I "record"? As example - I know MotoGP is coming up on say Sunday at 14:00, channel x. I am out riding a bike, jogging, or visiting. 14:00 is really an inconvenient time... Anyhow, how can I now "record" the MotoGP (as example - whatever live sport) to watch when we've returned, put the little one to bed and wifey is having her Sunday evening chillaxing bath? Or am I missing the/a point entirely? PS/Edit: I have not played around with the android mox whatsoever, it may become (even more) apparent that I am an idiot once I've done that...

Agree with you Swiss, a LOT of frontend washes, incl the Ianone one at the end. Think everybody but Rossi fell at T1 at some stage over the weekend. The two guys I felt worst for was Vinalez and Redding - to have the 2nd bike go on him after his wheel experiences on Sat... Interesting season ahead. Amazing how Honda turned it around, MM looked very ominous.

Empty track with 4 mins remaining in all sessions vs MotoGP qualifying excitement. Jeez, qualifying used to be more exciting than the race in most instances, now this...
  17. That was an awesome (bedonnerde) read!
  18. How did it go on your side, Andrew? I really enjoyed the route and the vibe. Loved the extremely different terrain than I am used to running on. But was feeling crappy on the day (extremely dizzy and could not focus properly - not ideal for trail running!) and ended up walking most of the downhills and rocky bits. Medics said afterwards walking straight with my ears in the condition they were in (apparently hectic sinus infection) was an accomplishment... Cannot fathom that they did the bit we climbed/mountaineered (no other words for it!) up past Blockhouse downhill in the previous year(s?).
  19. Good luck to all you Ultra manne for the weekend! Hope it goes really well. Tomorrow this time I'm already bleeding through my eyeballs on those uphills... ehhhrr... sorry, having a blast, enjoying the views, smiling all the way and having a beer at a waterpoint... on the trail. Think it's gonna be a toughy (ito elevation and terrain, not distance), but let's do this! Really looking forward to it!

Can't remember my exact words, but I predicted exactly this for qualifying. Fortunately, it seems that they've already unanimously (there's a new word for F1!) agreed to scrap it and revert to the old qualifying system as of next race.

...and on a lighter note, with not much action in a wet FP1. There is only one! Nuff said!
  22. Two things: Firstly, I only started running less than 2y ago. So it's all fresh to me... and I was doing it to supplement W2W training, so getting injured was NOT an option. Take it really slowly, increase mileage very very gently. Incredibly, I think it took me about alomost 2 months to get to 5k's! From there it got better pretty quickly. Then secondly, on the age topic. I ran my first marathon last year, aged 45. So that may also have been why I was so slow in "transitioning" (them ole bones ain't been running for a long time! ) into running... But for me performance is a side issue. I still am more of a mtb'er than a runner... I think! Yes, I recently entered for my second - along with a haul of trail runs this year.
  23. That's where multiple personalities comes in handy... all can chat, argue, sing (some better than others) and tell jokes to each other all day long. Ehhrr... I've heard. You know, a friend told me. Ja, very little beats a nice solo run...
  24. Swiss, when requiring bravery to enter, just take a hint from Andrew's current avatar...
  25. Where do you link the TomTom (or SUUNTO) devices? Only thing I can see there in order to accomplish this is MapmyFitness, but that is also supposed to be decommisioned...(?)
