  1. With Dizzy on this. I never understood the "need" for the pdf's she so generously did. The data is available in the challenge, click on the link while you're in Endo and you can see it, any time of the day - or month. No need to wait to the end of the month to see it on a pdf... Or am I missing some point here?
  2. I'm there. Hopefully this year without a lower back spasm from hell picked up 4 days before the event! Entered, accommodation sorted. Looking for legs.
  3. Okay, klap me... I got an enve bar a while ago. No looking back!

    Formula 1...

Dysfunctionality in F1? Teams behaving like playground children...? Yeah, sounds about right! Still, at least don't look like the wannabe batmobiles that ran the Indy 500 last night! Goooood grief... Can't believe what I saw - and didn't look for longer than 2 laps. Some interesting political points being made - and Pirelli has got them in a spot, because if they now say cheers, there'd be some frantic skarrel-ing going on. And I'm not surprised Pirelli is getting fed-up. They've been asked to develop a tyre one way, with minimal testing input. They do so. Now, a third through the season, it must change again. This time with seemingly bugger-all testing input. Whilst all the time taking the flak for the state F1 is in - purely because they did as they were asked to do. Though if those figures by word of mouth are to be believed, somebody took chances and it's not as if it's going to be "what's a 0 between two friends?" are going to cut it. Testing 1000 laps (on different cars and with different drivers than understood, possibly, maybe, we could be led to potentially believe ) is a bit different than the 100 laps signed off. Aaah, we'll see. Some off-track intrigue, what's a season without some of that?!

    Formula 1...

Nice job by Nico. Haven't seen anybody dominate an entire Monaco weekend like this. Special tyre testing or not... Speaking of tyres, get that rubbish sorted so the guys can race. But blaaksis, somebody needs to go out and give that Perez a good solid klap behind the left ear. I nominate Kimi. To just yell "Sorry boyz, I'm inside and not braking, you must jump out of the way!"... is not on. And now I see he's actually blaming Kimi for the accident! Having ridden into the back of him...?! That was just short of what Grosjean (wow, weekend from hell...) did - at least RG got a grid penalty for it. For me - driver of the day was Sutil!
  7. +1 for Specialized - I ride the MTB Comp or something like that. Had them for so long - I know I bought them under your budget, but not sure what they're going for now.

Monaco! And all looking close after day 1... Mercs up front, Ferrari and Lotus lurking. Are the RB's sand-bagging or not? Love this race!
  9. AFAIK the whole program is available on the Bicycling website as a pdf - no need to d/l week by week. It's not called "Argus program" - just a generic 100k race training program.
  10. My Stumpie is 71 head tube, 73.5 seat tube. Currently I am nervous as héll going downhill and/or into anything loose. May have something to do with a big crash I had recently... Before that I was very confident (for me) going downhill. The mind does play a biiiig role.
  11. Not any more - full Scott (INT) rider from what I've heard.
  12. I liiiike...
  13. Back to the original issue of us being our own worst enemy... I was livid yesterday. Before leaving from Jonkers on the ride for Burry, we were explicitly asked (never mind that it's actually the law) to remain our side of the white lines. Need I go on as to how many idiots I saw cutting blind corners over solid white lines going down?! Do people not realise the seriousness of exactly why we were up there?! It starts with yourself.
  14. As stated numerous times above, bad idea to ride facing traffic. One thing not even mentioned yet is people (motorists) wanting to take a left turn with the flow of the traffic, will obviously just watch to their right for a gap and go when clear. On comes eedjit from the left-hand side on a bicycle... A very cycling conscious friend of mine had a school laaitie flying over her bonnet one day in exactly this scenario.
  15. I won't wear a black armband - my bike will. My Stumpie will get a black band and I'll get a SA flag on there in memory. Regarding the 1.5m thingy - sorry to sound negative, but what's the use to make it law if they don't even enforce roadworthy vehicles. And that at least is police-able. How are they going to proof a car did not pass you at 1.5m?! Then, that's not the only danger, since the idiot that caused my crash last month simply did not know whether he was coming or going - and he was on the opposite side of the road!
  16. No man, all this talk of training is overrated. Training did not help me much last year!
  17. Go slower... I used to struggle with this as well, just get your head around the idea not to chase times, you don't chase Strave segments, you train in a HR zone, so just go slower. I managed to ride in 1:30 zone 2 and just over 30min in zone 3 into a block headwind on Sunday with plenty of hills. It was horribly slow, but it's doable. And don't give a hoot about people passing you, you're there to train. Pride is not part of the game. Just smile and wave and and keep on ticking over.
  18. covie - just remember an important part of the ergofit setup is your flexibility. In your situation now, yours won't be same now as it was when you've had your setup done, therefore I'd guess a less aggressive setup will be better for you now. But... if I were you I'd rather play with lifting the bars (to get the same effect on back flex angle) than lowering the seat and buggering with knee angles as well. (But I'm not an expert, that's just my guess...)
  19. Try Renay Groustra, right in your valley (he does his setups in Epic bike shop) and much easier to get an appointment with (when I last tried!) Don't know if he's taking time off now, though, being in his offseason. Here's his email: renay-at-sciencetosport-dot-com . He really knows his stuff. Also note a lot of the CycleLab shops have also now been getting Ergofit training from Renay, so that may also be an option.
  20. On Spez... why the Camber and not the Stumpjumper...? Just asking out of curiosity.
  21. I have a suspicion - and it's nothing more than that - that Garmin uses the actual recorded data and a lot of the other sites work on their map data. Or something like that... Another example I've raised is the ridiculous discrepancy on every ride in elevation between my Garmin data and Endomondo, where I also load the self-same Garmin data (i.e. not via phone).

    Formula 1...

You can't NOT have that movie...
  23. Got myself some Rydons after all the raving about it, but I will at best only use it on road. Very comfy, but fogs like crazy and like somebody else also said, useless in even the slightest of drizzle. Seems these things attract water! Fast Jacket is my preference. Also have an old pair of Radars with G30 lenses which I love for mtb'ing.
  24. Okay, found it. Still failing to upload to livingvitality and it seems nothing feeds from there to mapmyfitness. But I can upload to mapmyfitness and this pulls back to livingvitality. So hopefully this means I'm sorted in a round-about way. So Yetifan, if yours still isn't working, maybe try this method.
  25. Okay, I've given up on their helpline. Sent me an email, I replied to say their suggested solution doesn't work and ask some more questions... they freakin' well send me EXACTLY the same reply back! So I de-activated my mapmyfitness account. Now I can get into livingvitality. I can get to upload, I can see my workouts. upload status i failed whether I use multiple, one at a time, small ones, big ones... What does it use as mapmyfitness account userid and password behind the scenes? Because I have nothing now, so it must have been created for me...? Tried my email and discovery password, no luck...
