    Definitely. Thats a given. Trying speed work off a poor base will just be injury central.

    If you want to run a marathon you need long runs. If you want to run a fast marathom you also need speed sessions. In other words each training session should be focussed. Just running x distance at x speed is insufficient. Oh and remember hill sprints

    Ah the good old Sunrise Monster. My first 32km and one of my all time favourite races!

    Run 14 minutes walk 2 minutes. Run 13 minutes walk 2 minutes. Run 12 minutes walk 2 minutes and so on....i think?

    So this morning i decided to REALLY crawl to work and stayed within all speed limits and got a 97% score for speed. The other 4 categories were all above 60% except for one which was 57%. Overall score 55%. Now explain those maths!!
