  1. Refer to my earlier post
  2. But now you got a new bolt... Should have used a Ducati bolt
  3. Replied, giving another 2 options of other bikes I have as possibilities for your child.
  4. Exactly the same one as the pic posted earlier. I built 2 of them: one for my son and one for my daughter. She politely told me she would "never use it to it's full potential, so she will take her brothers old bike". So its a spare now
  5. Yes, and its lighter. Lol
  6. You dared to open a threat? You roadies are way too aggro
  7. See why the hub is so good? Out of all the posts, here is one that can be used. Good boy
  8. Don't get any ideas. Jumps are for bikes with some sort of travel...
  9. I have a spare one that my daughter doesn't want if anyone wants to spoil their kid...
  10. Nope. I'm hoping he understands the value. He washes it after every ride and puts it away in the garage on its stand.
  11. Also just been through this with my son. I built him a lightweight little racing machine with full 9 speed X0 with AC wheels. Frame is 650b, so when he outgrows current config I can put a longer stem and 650b wheels on. Bike weighs 8, 98kgs without pedals. He has just turned 10
  12. +1
  13. But you'll keep going there..... Just like the Hub....
  14. No worries. I shredded a brand new Conti protection tyre 2 years ago on its first outing at Teak Place on a small innocuous looking rock. Was pissed off that it was my own doing, so much so that I still have the tyre hanging in my garage to remind me what can happen when you just "fokmaarvoord"
  15. Brilliant. Had me laughing
  16. A 29er has more surface contact area
  17. +1 Well spoken. Riders don't bother to pick a line and then blame the tyre. Pretty much like Jacques Villeneuve did when he was racing indy car
  18. Mtb riders need to learn to pick their line better. Ive been riding these for a long time now on my 29er and I find them to be better tgan the Conti's. You should have lifted your wheel over the rock or avoided it. I used to ride with a motocross ex SA champ who used to shred tyres almost every ride at Monaghan Farm, purely because he wasn't a careful rider
  19. Dent free? How does one dent carbon?
  20. So what are you using now?
  21. So spit it out. Some cold winter's days need more spoeg than others
  22. Oh no, Patches you didn't. You skank. ..
  23. Rotational weight should be the first place one looks at shedding weight on a bike. Not only creates a lighter bike, but easier to roll, faster acceleration, lower energy expenditure and easier to hold higher speeds. Besides, the wheels can always be switched over onto an upgraded frame at a later stage.
