We rant and rave - criticise and challenge - we blow our tops and take it personally when a fellow hubber shows us up but at the end of the day we love this forum because we keep comming back. :)

So here goes - lets see how many reasons we can come up with for why we love this place!

I'll start

I love the HUB because it has introduced me to some awesome people that share my passion for cycling like MadMikex, Gunzo, JMK1 and Johan Borman

Because there is nothing better than watching Saffers fight it out on-line forums.

It is also a nice way for me to keep connected to SA cycling world until I complete my work contract in the States and return to good old SA. I must admit seeing all the posts relating to race events makes me nice and homesick.

I also like the fact that every beginner mountain biker and new joiner is going to post a question asking about Tubeless Conversions, whcih leads to a debate as to wether UST or non-UST.

because there are "experts" in anything you can think of on here

you dont need an opinion, one will be given to you in no time, if you like it or not!

you can attack people and get into trouble (well apart from the mods telling you off)

you can use as many !!!!!!!!!! as you like

but best of all, no matter how bad your day is, your are guaranteed to log onto the hub and find somebody or something to laugh at!

Just like the 4x4 forum and PC forum I am on, it has helped me fix things without having to pay someone a fortune to sort the problem out.

And the arguments that go on make for good reading when bored at work...!

I've met some awesome people on then hub that lead to real life introductions - now I see people I know at almost every race.

I've also met some tossers which didn't lead to real life introductions.

I've learnt a thing or two.

I've fought some pointless battles.

I've made my name gat.

I've made other people's name's gat.

Ahhhh the sooap opera that is thehub....

Majority of the time there's interesting threads, threads that make you laugh during a k@k day and topics that end up in heated discussions.

Dangle and Oom H on the same thread...

Opinions are like ar$e holes, everyone has one.

I don't love The Hub. Not to mean I hate it. I just don't love it.

279 posts in 10 months, I.e. almost 1 post per day. You may not love it, but there is an attraction. Maybe "friends with benefits" ?

For me its really just because such a wide variety of topics are opened and discussed, in my opinion theres a limit to what I think you can learn in any sport, Cycling included, and been pedantic about on topic threads makes a forum boring for me.

At least one post a day will make me laugh, or teach me something about cycling (about the bike, a new venue or how many other okes have also fallen on their asses that week).

Where else would you see a chap trying to sue cos he fell in a ditch (I wasn't gonna comment so I wont continue)... actually, I should sue Groenkloof, I could live better than bra Ju Ju for the rest of my life!

I love the hub because it's everything cycling related (and non-cycling related). Everyone here has a shared passion for cycling and bicycles.

And it's juts plain awesome!
