This just confirms my thoughts that it would be a rip off!! So glad i did not enter. They just smoked you guys. The results will stay a ballsup. Has anybody tried to lodge a complaint with the epic race offices?

I wonder if Kevin Vermaak and his Epic organisers will be happy to be associated with this bunch of amateurs, in the 27 km race they've only left out the podium riders, imagine leaving out Songo, Bulls and Marida. They should give the race to someone who cares about cycling.

dunno what everyone is compaining about...conrad only beat me by 9 secs... flip I could have beaten him if it wasnt for three chain drops and a crash.

The results were on the website, but we have a huge problem with them, because some of the riders who signed up to do the 50km did the 26km and now the times are all wrong because it reflects that a 50km rider completed the race in 1:25 (which is ridiculous) so we have someone trying to sort that out, because there is no point in posting results that are wrong. Sorry about the confusion and please be patient while we try to resolve this issue.

5min before their reply. But this was a staff member's mailbox & not the info@grandstandmanagement.com mailbox which the staff member told me takes some time before they get through those mails.

Also, those who didn't get a medal can collect one at their offices in Long street CPT. I did. If i remember correctly its number 154 but call to be sure.

Problem is I drove down from Pta for the event and to just enjoy the Cape MTB scene, but didn't feature on the results (I did 4 hrs 34 mins - so rather long day!) and swinging past their offices doesn't seem like time well spent.

 

Hopefully the same nonsense doesn't happen next year...
