Pretty light for frame, fork and crank.

A Scott Addict R1 with Red crank and Thomson seatpost comes in at 2180g. The fatty in this category, the Pinarello Dogma comes in at 2786g.

That is a beautiful colour scheme

After noticing the orange on the top tube in Airbender's photo, I'm going to partially retract this comment. Blech.

The matte black with red highlights is still really pretty, though.

Maybe next they'll team up with Subaru/Renault/Honda to design a Mountain Bike.

Honda did once make a MTB...

...and it made this Spesh McLaren's £5,000 price tag seem like pocket change...

Enter the Honda RN01 (est. $70 000... if they were willing to sell one)

Not quite comparing apples with apples though..

If it was as simple as making a carbonfibre mould and slapping in the carbon It would.

The Honda wasnt made mass production, Everyone was handbuilt, CNC'd manhours....is $$

yeah true... they were custom made for the WC circuit. The gearboxes were so top secret that Honda would remove them from the bike after the race. Like you say, definitely not mass produced.

But yeah, was just showing an example of what Honda had done MTB wise in the past. As stated earlier though... most times when a car manufacturer gets involved with bikes... the result is disastrous...

take the Hummer MTB for instance... hideous cheap crap!

You wouldn't think that a brand that makes these would put their name on such a terrible bike:

This may be the hottest bike I have ever seen. Has a bike ever won a monument on it's maiden outing because Matt Goss, with no team support and not even in the top 15 favourites to do so, won Milan San Remo on it in on Sunday. I'd say victory in a 300km classic, including a bunch sprint win by a guy who is not strictly a sprinter definitely scores this bike some credibility.
