I would love to know how big the bag of money Schumi had before the accident was as the medical bill for last almost 6 years must be massive. How far do you live from his house in Geneva? Go ring his doorbell and ask whats up.

I think Forbes estimated his wealth at $1 billion

His money will never run out.

Even if he lived a very long long long time

Yeah ..his money makes money.

I know everyone would like to know what his medical condition is but I am glad they have kept his condition private like he would/'ve wanted as it really isn't any of our business.

One one hand I agree and say it’s a private matter and we the public are not owed an update. But, on the other hand I feel that as a fan, who lived through his racing career and invested in it with our time, energy, emotions (and for many money) which also contributed to his popularity and fame do deserve at least some update. Just because people are not “family” doesn’t mean they not carrying any weight in this.

I reckon ,and it’s pure conjecture on my part, is that some close to him are more keen to keep him alive for their own benefit. While technically alive there may be advantages for some.

But not actually knowing anything is frustrating, I fully appreciate the privacy angle and again this may be motivated by personal interest.

It is selfish for fans to want to know everything about his medical condition just because they have invested money and emotion in him.If they want to share they will, if not that is their right and their wishes, it should be accepted and respected.

Speculation..pretty sure the nature of his profession lead to many discussions on his wishes should anything like this ever happen and all legal docs in place. Edited by Gen

Yes of course, also he still has an image which is used for marketing purposes thus better that image than reality.

Shumie was a hero, I have a shumacher/Ferrari jacket and used to avidly watch F1 in those days.

I do not think they need to know EVERYTHING about his condition, but they should be told something.

Sport stars across the world are very ok with their millions of fans when it suits them. This cannot only be a one way street though.

I think Schumi has been given much more space than many other super stars have had.

I get that..but he has always been a very pvt person and it isn't like he broke his arm..he suffered serious injuries..and the family are dealing with it the way that is best for them as well as protecting his right to privacy..and that should be respected IMO.

Whatever his medical condition is and whatever treatment he is or isn't receiving we all wish him the best. Perhaps some groundbreaking treatment will come from this and many people may benefit from it in the future.

I tell you what thought there circle of trust is solid...very little has leaked...which in today's age with media houses offering serious cash for information is impressive.

Not sure where I said fans deserve to “know everything”. Please don’t miss quote me.

It was not directed at you in particular. Just a general discussion on the topic.

What are our thoughts on Lewis and his increasing use of social media to drive his beliefs? Don’t get me wrong, I 100% agree with him on animal cruelty but my son is 13 and I am not happy he can go onto Instagram and see a cow getting hit on the head with a hammer and then being stabbed to death.....

My 9 year old follows him. I have no issue with it at all.

I also like the fact that he shares his beliefs. Doesn’t mean we have to share those beliefs, but sticking our heads in the sand and not wanting to see something isn’t the answer either.

My opinion and I respect the diversity of other people’s opinion.

I also admit to being totally biased. We have been plant based for over two years now so I am probably not the best person to try be objective.

He also shares a lot of religious posts. I’m atheist and those don’t offend me at all.
