Wow Boredgirl...

 

I know nothing about roadbikes - but she sure looks sweet to me now.

Amazing what a bit of TLC can do...

 

Consider yourself to be one of those few who can look at an old bike, not exactly know why, but just 'sense' that there is something there - and that with a little bit of effort, you can end up with a bike as gorgeous as ever...

 

Well done.

Congrats!!  Looking MUCH better than it used to!!

Next time simply ask for an "A headset adapter" For about R50,00 you could've changed from a quill to an A-headset.

 

It slots into the same spot as the quill stem. Then you simply clamp a more modern stem to it. No cutting or grinding required.

um....yeah I did my research but somehow it wasn't very widely available on the market.....looked even on overseas websites and they didn't have any.......so went this way

 

I must say I like the carbon fork and just the whole thing Tongue plus it was a prove me wrong thing - they said it CAN'T be done....
