And yes - looking at the 'zorsts, it is the v12. the v8 had 2 pipes, one coming out each side of the car, whereas the v12 had the 4 coming from the centre (iirc)

Also, it says V12 on the back

it is not often that i look at a car and think, sheesh I want to own that - but this one did it for me. I dont know why I like jaguar, I just do.

I may be wrong, but I think it is a V8, spoke to the owner, an 80 yr old grannie, who knows her cars, and the value of this one, and is leaving it for her grandson. The car was in perfect perfect condition, other than being a bit dirty cause of the wind. When I saw it a second time, I had to post pics.

If you ask any car enthusiast "What is the sexiest car ever made?" The answer will always be "E-Type Jag" This thing in that condition is extremely rare and valuable. I went to the Eastern Cape Classic Car show two weekends ago, probably about 100 classic cars and only two e-types.

The more you stare, the better they look. But that said, Jaguar has always managed to make their cars look sexy drool.gif

There is a big V12 badge on the back....whistling.gif

Yeah but it looks like its got the straight six bonnet lid on...pity there's not a better shot.

But if you go by the badge on the back that 7odd liter v12 underneath fills that bonnet up fairly nicely , smoothest engine ever

Nought dude, if that's the proper E-Type and is what it says it is, it's the original v12 lump, which makes it, in its condition here, worth a rather tidy sum of money.

I only hope the grandson knows what she is passing on to him, and doesn't waste it or worse, crash it...

That could be worth about R400k if it original
