Guys, there is another thread for all the flesh pics.

Please lets stick to not posting them here. If you want to post them, then do so on the flesh thread.

Where is that Slowness?

It might be useful for those that want to use it

I met another Saffa who had just left the FFL at 26 after serving his 5 years- he told me the training was absolutely brutal; he said for his first 2 weeks he had to carry a backpack filled with gravel while they sweeped clean the entire bases' runway- when they were done in the evening the sergeant made them dump their backpacks on the tarmac for them to sweep up again the next day! But he said serving in the FFL is the greatest and most profound thing he has/ever will do in his life- he told me he took the selection 3 times [crazy] just to get in; also couldn't seem to get into the SANDF...

What are the language requirements for new recruits in the FFL, I imagine its a quick way to learn basic French but there must be some language issues in the beginning or do they use the universal language engleesh...

Think I'll look for that  for home consumption

But you'll find that French is the only official language in the FFL...new recruits have to learn to speak frog as it is the lingua franca of the units...

Also search youtube, there ia 4 series program on the FFL done in 2006...I'll see if I can find it quick

From what I've heard/read you don't need to speak any French to begin with as you learn it as you go- they give some intense french lessons during basic where you are teamed up with another recruit who is natural francophone and is then responsible for your development, the guy I mentioned above could speak French absolutely perfectly

OK, here one of them, there is ten, worth watching for an insight in selection, training and general culture...the only English you'll hear are from recruits that speak the language in interviews

Well i'm glad the swiss don't employ those same "intense lessons".... I'd be the push up king of the world by now....

I have a mate that joined there a while back. He says it has been the worst couple of years of his life. You get mixed with the absolute dregs of society. The Frenchies also dont like you one bit.

Once read somewhere about the Spanish Foreign Legion, but apparently made up of pond scum and pimps...any of you know anything about them?
