patches Posted July 18, 2013 Share no such thing as a stupid question right? how does the whistle blowing work with DH competitions? the same as in rave clubs  ...haha! basically the marshalls blow the whistle when a rider is clear through a certain segment of the track. So for instance in practice, if certain riders are walking the track or practicing a certain segment, they can hear other riders approaching as the whistle blows get closer and closer.
