Normally they only have 4. keen sense of observation you have there. It is a little known fact that the five fingered dragons (the one's with opposible thumbs) are usually non violent (and thus not in many movies). Other artist don't put so much detail in the claws as this one did. Komodo dragons also have 5 toes but they can't write.
